Today we said good riddance to Talk Talk and hello to Community Fibre.
Fingers crossed there will be no more slow and intermittent broadband.
NS 1501 (formally British Railways E27003) stands at Eindhoven on the 'Dutch Highlander' Hoek van Holland - Maarstricht charter on the 10th October 1992.
If anyone has any more details & could pass them on it would be appreciated, I'd love to know who ran the charter, the routing & if possible the mileage from this tour.
EMD SD7 PNWR 1501, the Albany Switcher, moves around the Albany yard. 4-wheelers are used to move between switches. This locomotive, built in 1952, displays the colors of all three of its owners, the Southern Pacific, Willamette and Pacific and Portland and Western.
In pale skies but putting on a good show, GWR Swindons 1500 0-6-0PT No.1501 powers out of Hampton Loade Station
Terwijl BE's 218 396-0 in 'Rangiergruppe West' om haar Aluzug liep, reed ik naar de plek in Friederichsfeld waar de Kreisbahn und Hafenbahn Emmelsum aansluit op de Walsumerbahn. Daar aangekomen trof ik een rangeerder die op een trein van Captrain wachtte. Deze zou naar de containerterminal in de haven opgeduwd worden. Niet veel later rolde de 1501 met deze trein de Walsumer af. Een lok die ik nog ken uit de tijd dat ze voor CFL Cargo reed. Inmiddels ziet ze er een stuk valer uit.
Aangezien ik nog weer terug moest naar kantoor, besloot ik niet de Aluzug te volgen richting Walsum maar om deze containertrein op foto te zetten. Ik koos wederom voor het maisveld bij de Nebenanschluss Trimet Aluminium SE.
De 1501 duwt haar containertrein uiteraard niet deze aansluiting op maar gewoon rechtdoor richting de containerterminal in de haven.

Na een bezoekje aan Kijfhoek en het achterlaten van de 2275 werd koers gezet naar Lage Zwaluwe en terug waarbij beide keren bij Willemsdorp kon worden gefotografeerd, bij afwezigheid van de zon was dat geen probleem ;-)
NS Class 1500, 1501 the former British Railways E27003 'Diana', at Den Haag CS, Sunday 2nd March 1986, before working train No.2517 the 12:47 Den Haag - Venlo.
We had arrived on it, after having travelled on the overnight boat from Harwich, on the 08:30 Koln - Den Haag, which it worked forward from Venlo.
Due to a defect at one cab end, the loco required turning via the triangle north of the station, before it's return, with the driver beckoning us up into the cab to join him while he undertook this.

The weather isn't great,but it doesn't look too bad a place for a picture - what could go wrong ? Well,the loco could be running "bunker first" !! 1501 approaches Hampton Loade,on the Severn Valley Railway - 27.7.19.
In warm, late afternoon light, visiting engine 1501 heads up the bank at Kelling Heath, NNR Gala, 7.3.15.
