1500 years ago, everybody "knew" that the earth was the center of the universe. 500 years ago, everybody "knew" that the earth was flat. And 15 minutes ago, you "knew" that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll "know" tomorrow.
1500 02 am Nachmittag des 29.08.2015 mit einem Güterzug nach Bergen Ost zwischen Beckedorf und Soltau bei Wohlde.
This truck needs a little TLC. The headliner is coming down, the taillights are non-existent and there is rust on the bumpers and wheels, but the most disturbing thing is the large nest in the passenger seat. You can see the nesting material sticking out of the door. Now, I would guess an emu nest or an ostrich, but we don’t have those birds in the USA.
Whatever it is, it is big and, I’m guessing, hungry! After all, who knows how long it has been shut in this truck.
Or it could be several chickens! HTT
Sin duda uno de los alicientes que tenia la línea de La Robla hace algunos años eran los carboneros que circulaban entre la Central Térmica de Guardo y Mataporquera.
El carbón provenía del puerto de Santander. Hasta Mataporquera lo bajaba Renfe cargado en vagones abiertos Ealos. En Mataporquera se procedía a transferir el carbón de los Ealos de Renfe a las tolvas de Feve, que se encargaría de llevarlo hasta Guardo.
La tracción de este tren corría a cargo de tres GECo 1500 de Feve en mando múltiple, sin duda un verdadero espectáculo verlas circular.
En la foto podemos ver el carbonero cargado en dirección a Guardo coronando la rampa que hay a la salida de Cillamayor.

...fand ich vor ein paar Wochen in Thüringen - genauer gesagt, in der Kleinstadt Creuzburg, unweit von Eisenach.
Der hübsche Kirchenbau - die Liboriuskapelle - trägt den Namen des 397 gestorbenen Liborius, der als Freund des Bischof von Le Mans im 4. Jahrhundert maßgeblich die Verbreitung des Christentums in Gallien unterstützte und heiliggesprochen wurde.
Die Kapelle thront am Ende einer siebenbogigen Pfeilerbrücke über die Werra (die Ansicht zeige ich euch später noch) als einschiffiger Gewölberaum.
An den Wänden finden sich 40 Szenen aus dem Leben der Heiligen Elisabeth und der Passion Christi, datiert auf das Jahr 1520.
Wie so oft wurden diese Bilder mehrfach in den Jahrhunderten übertüncht und so war von 2007 bis 2016 eine umfassende Sanierung notwendig.
Zahlreiche Arbeiten wurden - von Kirche, Staat und einem Förderverein finanziert - geleistet:
- Trockenlegung des Baugrundes
- Umfassende Sanierung von Baukörper und Dachstuhl
- Fußbodenreparatur mit behutsamen Ergänzungen und dessen Tieferlegung, wobei die verzierten Dienstbasen wieder sichtbar wurden
- Wiederherstellung der ursprünglichen Farbfassung des Innenraumes
- Die kostenintensivste und fachlich größte Herausforderung:
Abnahme der farblichen Überzüge; Festigung und behutsame Retusche der erhalten gebliebenen Malereien
- Restaurierung des Corpus Christi (um 1500, sehr wertvoll, ursprünglich Dorfkirche Schmirchau bei Gera, dem Uranbergbau zum Opfer gefallen)
- Entwurf und Fertigung von auf den Innenraum abgestimmten modernen Altar, Altarkreuz, Taufbecken, Lesepult und Sitzbänken
- Erstmalige Ausstattung mit einer elektrischen Beleuchtung (ordnet sich dem Raum unter, mehrere Beleuchtungsvarianten)
Sehr gern wird das Kirchlein heuer zum Heiraten genutzt, aber es bietet auch dem Wanderer oder Einkehrwilligen einen schönen, friedlichen, andachtsvollen Ruhemoment.

El ferrocarril en Asturias ha estado siempre muy profundamente ligado a su enorme industria siderúrgica. Desde sus orígenes, ha transportado enormes cantidades de materias primas y productos hasta y desde los complejos industriales para su posterior empleo en la fabricación de los más diversos elementos.
Una línea de sobra conocida es la de El Valle. Proyectada y construida en los años 60 para el transporte de carbón (transformado posteriormente en coque) del puerto de El Musel, así como de otros productos entre las industrias de Avilés y Veriña, es un auténtico no parar de circulaciones con cada vez más variado material, desde las vetustas pero robustas D hasta las más nuevas F y esporádicamente alguna mole con ruedas danesa...
Coque, carbón, slabs, planchas... o los impresionantes vagones torpedo con arrabio líquido a 1500 grados de temperatura son las cargas transportadas por estas sufridas máquinas, que no paran ni un solo día.
En la imagen, dos D en mando múltiple arrastran dos enormes torpedos llenos de arrabio hacia las acerías de Avilés a paso muy lento, pero sin pausa.

Con motivo de la XII Concentración de Coches Clásicos en TORRENT (Valencia) organizada por el Club de Automoción Horta Clàssics, www.hortaclassics.es y a pesar de que la iluminación no era la más adecuada (bastantes contrastes) pudimos tomar imágenes de algunos bonitos coches, entre ellos, este Triumph-Spitfire 1500 y de los que, según Wikipedia se fabricaron casi 96000 unidades entre 1974-1980.

On the occasion of the XII Concentration of Classic Cars in TORRENT (Valencia) organized by the Horta Clàssics Automotive Club, and although the lighting was not the most adequate (many contrasts) we could take pictures of some beautiful cars, among them, this Triumph-Spitfire 1500 and of which, according to Wikipedia, almost 96000 units were manufactured between 1974-1980.
