My two favorite websites are Flickr and Ecosia.
Ecosia is a search engine that uses their profits to plant the right trees, in the right places in the world, with the help of the local people.
I crochi sono già fioriti in giardino e sono sbocciati anche nel sottobosco della collina. Stanno fiorendo con due settimane di anticipo e questo è preoccupante. L'intera stagione dei germogli e delle fioriture è anticipata, ma al tempo stesso l'acqua scarseggia. Si profila, insomma un'altra primavera difficile; di quelle in cui temere per i geli tardivi e per la siccità che ostacola lo sviluppo delle piante ..... ..

Hafenkräne Nr. 14 und 15
Beide Halbportalkräne wurden von der Firma Pellenz aus Köln-Ehrenfeld gebaut und stammen aus dem Jahr 1936. Sie sind Nachfolgemodelle der hydraulischen Kräne und seit jeher im ehemaligen Zollhafen zu finden. Ihre auf zwei Längsträgern ruhenden Kranbrücken stammen teilweise noch aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Die drehbaren Kranführerhäuschen sind aus Holz und weisen einen hervorragenden Fensterausbau auf. Der Greifer des fest stehenden Auslegearms konnte Lasten von bis zu 3 Tonnen tragen.
Ende 2007 veranlasste die HGK eine Instandsetzung der beiden Kräne. Rost wurde entfernt, Einzelteile wurden erneuert oder repariert, das Führerhäuschen neu verglast sowie die Schutzbleche der Radkästen saniert. Auch die Holzteile des Führerhäuschens wurden überarbeitet oder erneuert.
Harbor cranes No. 14 and 15
Both semi-portal cranes were built by the Pellenz company from Cologne-Ehrenfeld and date from 1936. They are successor models to the hydraulic cranes and have always been in the former customs port. Some of the crane bridges resting on two longitudinal girders date from the 19th century. The rotating crane operator's cabins are made of wood and have excellent window fittings. The gripper of the fixed extension arm could carry loads of up to 3 tons.
At the end of 2007, the HGK arranged for the two cranes to be repaired. Rust was removed, individual parts were renewed or repaired, the cab was re-glazed and the wheel arches were renovated. The wooden parts of the driver's cab have also been revised or renewed.

People's Park Complex is a 31-story public housing project built in the early 1970’s and during its day, was a model for the rest of Asia of what could be done.
The photo was taken from the carpark roof which you would think would be easy to find. By car, easy. By foot, less straightforward but with a great reward.
Im 15. Jahrhundert hielt sich Herzog Albrecht III. viel in der Blutenburg auf. Er ist bekannt durch seine tragisch endende Ehe mit der Baderstochter Agnes Bernauer, die Albrechts Vater, Herzog Ernst, verhaften, in Straubing vor Gericht stellen und schließlich von der Donaubrücke in den Tod stürzen ließ.
Auch eine andere Liebe fand ihr Ende in Blutenburg. Lola Montez verbrachte hier die Nacht vor ihrer Abschiebung . Die Tänzerin hatte dem alternden Monarchen Ludwig I vollkommen den Kopf verdreht und für erhebliche Unruhen in der Bevölkerung gesorgt. Sie starb völlig verarmt in New York.
