BR blue 20189 and London Transport red 20142 pass the attractive GWR station at Wilmcote with the 1T52 1405 Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford-upon-Avon 'Shakespeare Express' on 14 August 2022. The continuing dry weather meant no steam on this train.
About six years ago, I went exploring in the Pier 70 area where this building is located. I can't believe I didn't take a photo of it at the time as I thought it was a pretty impressive piece of architecture. The Bethlehem Steel Building, designed by Fredrick H. Meyer, was built in 1917 and originally planned to house offices for 350 people. It had been unused since 1992, until Restoration Hardware (the RH in its current name) came along and took out a lease on it. It opened in May as the Palm Court at RH San Francisco, with its three floors taken up by a restaurant, a wine bar, and luxury home furnishings.

Southern Ground Hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri), Kruger National Park, South Africa. Southern Ground Hornbills are the largest members of the hornbill family. Formerly far more widespread, they are now an endangered species, seldom seen outside conservation areas. Their booming calls are often mistaken for roaring lions.
