Abandoned house. While walking today, I had the time to photograph this abandoned house. I was going to get some images from the other side, but there were bushes and trees growing up so you can't even see the structure through them. This was the best I could do.

Day 148/365
My entry for Cliche Saturday is completely cliche!
Scrabble board letters
Christmas tree light bokeh
Lei-keh
You've seen the peace sign a time or two, right? ;D
I tried to make the letters more exact, but they kept sliding down the board! I propped a table up with books to get a better angle of the tiles-I know it's not a great image, but you get the message. Plus, I was shooting in front of Andy, my mother-in-law and my sister-this works much better without an audience!
Merry Christmas! Peace on Earth! Happy Weekend! (that should cover everyone:D)
HCS!
“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy.”
― Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
my new favorite book, i can't get enough of it
wow. today i used a hasselblad for the first time in my puff.
i'm pretty amazed at the quality of the images from it. it was just for a learning exercise so that we're comfortable using them for the upcoming fashion and advertising briefs - but by jove.
i never love photos of myself straight off of the camera. but this, this i adored. added a quick colour curve later. but my god. <3

I picked up this insect ridden dried leaf hoping to get some nice shadows through the holes. I planned to use some led light, but just saw sun shining on floor tiles - so here's the result.. Shadows have been pushed in PP - to try to achieve the effect I was hoping for...
It’s been a while since I took a portrait at night, so I’m thankful this turned out so well. Also very thankful Michela was available so readily so late at night. I really enjoyed the hour or so that we spent just sitting around in the night air. I don’t often get the chance to simply sit around with someone with no other agenda. The conversation wasn’t very dense, but that didn’t matter. The city atmosphere dissolved any tension that would have formed. Part way through she got a phone call. A friend was worrying her. I can’t remember the specifics but she displayed a wide range of emotions throughout the call. Going through the photos was like seeking through a short film. Hopefully I’ll post some alternate versions when I have more time. As the conversation wrapped it started to drizzle. We sat about for a couple minutes until I also received a call from a friend I had promised a ride back into Fleetwood. I didn’t know Michela very well until that night. We didn’t speak much, but just sitting around for an hour in the lit up city night I now feel as though I do.
Maybe a little bit late today and no bug :o).
"Only" a very quick shooting with Danboli (alias Mini).
We wish you all a very happy weekend!!
