I spotted some really beautiful horses in a field in Wivelsfield , Sussex and I wanted to share their beauty with everyone and I hope you approve.
The sun actually came out today for the first time in what feels like months. I feel like I've been saying that for weeks, but these few-and-far-between-sunny-days really just are the best.
Especially when they involve going to see a show (Frankenstein! SO GOOD.), wandering around to find a delicious pre-dinner cocktail, an AMAZING dinner at a restaurant that I've been trying to get to since I moved to Chicago, and wandering around the Riverwalk (catching Art on the Mart again!).
Total miles walked = 9.6
Which feels appropriate for right now, because everyone keeps asking me what I'm going to be doing in Europe in a couple of weeks, and what I like to do when I travel, and one of the best/only answers I can come up with - is...wander? Sure, I like the art museums and epic cathedrals and all of that touristy stuff, but the stuff in between? The side streets and graffiti and tiny cafes and local people and quiet benches next to ponds? Those are the things that give me life.
The last time I was in Europe, for fun, was a little over ten years ago - which I realized last night and has been blowing my mind. Poland is clearly in Europe, but those were mostly obligatory trips; planned by other people, filled with responsibility and small patches of fun, versus the opposite.
Anyway. I'm rambling. I'm so incredibly excited for vacation and summer and think that this whole "break" from the "heavy" stuff is gonna do a girl good.

Schon wieder Geschichte ist der Einsatz der Baureihe 145 auf der Dresdener S1 von Meißen nach Schöna. Heute dürfen sich dort Loks der Baureihe 182 austoben. Am 20.08.2011 hatte 145 047 die Aufgabe, eine S1 nach Schöna zu bringen, als der Fotografen bei Kurort Rathen den Auslöser betätigte.

The Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow holds quite an array of aircraft from home and abroad.
The well lit main hangar hosts some of the more fragile items and among them is this Aero 145 once with the Polish Air Ambulance Service and registered SP-LXH.
The 145 was a version of the Aero 45 with more powerful engines, and these models were quite successful and found buyers in the west too. A small number are still in flying condition.
