I've lost it I think. Seriously, this is the first worthy photo I've gotten in like 3 weeks it seems.
I've taken tons of photos, but it seems like all of them just lack something.
discouraging.
Here's something that I got today.
here please :)
The Human Family
It was a bright-sun, blue-sky day as Ray and I walked along the margin of the low tide at Bosham. And we both rather suddenly became aware of a man sitting high up on the opposite side of the path, just behind a very tall wall, quietly enjoying the sunshine. We passed the time of day with him, and I carried on talking for a bit while Ray moved back to the water's edge to take photos.
Somehow, I soon found myself asking for a photo for my strangers' portrait series and explaining how I would present it on my Flickr photostream. I received a slightly hesitant, but positive, response. Introductions made, I took 3 or 4 shots with my little Sony, realising that it was not the easiest task to take a shot of somebody sitting a few feet above me. I asked David if he could push back his baseball cap slightly because of the shadow on his face, which he kindly did.
He told me it was his granddaughter who had undertaken the 'editing' on his cap, to make '(S)KIPPER'. He asked me about my camera and I explained that, although small and easily portable, it is excellent, featuring in the RX100 line-up of which Sony, perhaps rather optimistically, introduce a new model each year. It was not until later in our conversation that I discovered David's working life had been spent with industrial cameras, 5x4 format....
David has enjoyed collecting classic cars. He has just one now: a BMW 8 series Alpina and I understand this car is now one of only 3 (right-hand drive) remaining.
By this time, Ray had returned and put this last piece of information into his phone for me, together with David's email address. I have sent him this photo - impossible to show it to him at the time. (And, come to think of it, neither have I seen the quick shot David took of me with his phone!)
We asked for, and received, suggestions of an eatery for lunch in the area, agreeing that 'at our age' we like a little peace and quiet at that time of day.
A sincere thank you to David and I wish him many peaceful sunny summer days.
(I found out that the white stone swan next to David in my photo is not in his garden, the house where he has lived for the 30 years of his retirement being a little way along the road. So its presence high up on top of the wall is still a mystery to me.)

Tuesday 4th April 1989
I have been traveling for hours today, I cant count now the amount of kilometers I have traveled...
Today's picture is number 142, and my seat number on the last bus I took was 42!
:D

Photo No. 142.
I have not to macros, and an outlet with my friend Monica decided to do some in a field. This "plant" was on the edge of the field, not as it is called, will be an autonomous plant, but I liked the evening he had the background. Have a great Sunday: D

Today's pic is nothing special. Sorry! It was absolutely beautiful today. The sun was shining and the humidity was finally gone so today was the first day in 4 days that it wasn't like a swamp ass whenever you walked outside. Which is wonderful because I got to bring back the straight hair and was able to take a picture of something other than my legs today :)
I notice that when I go to Maine, I search inside for something to check in with. We do check ins so we can leave whatever is on our minds behind so we can work with the families and give them all of our attention. For the past... um, 2 months, I haven't had anything to check in about. Like... nothing. We have five minutes of silence to really think about how we're feeling and what's been going on... and I sit there and either completely zone out and think about the most unrelated thing possible, or my mind is completely blank and by the end of the 5 minutes I'm fighting to stay awake.
It kind of bothers me that I don't have anything on my mind. I've had a lot of stuff happen in the past few months. It was like one after the other, and I feel like I didn't process any of it.. or even acknowledge any of it, and I feel like I should, because it's not healthy to ignore it. But I think I've ignored it so well that I don't even know where to start. I'm picturing a tightly bound ball of yarn with no ends. It's pretty obvious that the only way to unwind it is to find the starting place... the end, or beginning, whatever you want to call it, but I just can't find it. I can't grasp whatever it is I need to. I'm afraid that I've shut myself off so completely that I won't be able to open up and look inside anymore. It's just not there. It feels weird. I feel hollow. It's like, I can enjoy days and moments, and have been laughing more than I was in the past month, but when it comes to any slightly negative feeling... I've got nothing. The only thing I've been doing that shows some type of stress going on is clenching my jaw. It's 24/7, I have no control over it. Whenever I catch myself doing it I'm able to stop it for a little bit, but then I clench it again. It's really driving me nuts. I was thinking of starting a journal or, I don't know, something, but yeah. I'm rambling. Sorry. I think it's time for bed. Good night!
