BREL (Derby)/Leyland Class 142 "Pacer" 2-car dmu No.142 010 of Arriva Trains Wales leaving Cardiff Queen Street on a service to Cardiff Bay, 05/09. The unit was substituting for the usual Class 121 railcar which was out of service that day.

Taken in September 2012. The field above Lullingstone Castle is part of Lullingstone Country Park which is home to over 300 veteran trees, some of which may be up to 800 years old.

I am not too impressed with this but the shot I had thought would be here turned out poorly, so this will have to do.
I don't know what to do at present - I'm behind with posting stuff from before the weekend. I'm behind on commenting and looking at other people's stuff - which is a big a part of this project as any for me. And I've got a memory card full of shots to process. Don't know what to do for the best.
I was only off for one working day but going back in today I seemed really behind all the time too. In the group there are weekly theme. But being behind seems to be turning into a theme for life. I was constantly on the phone, mostly to lovely people, but still, at some points in the day I wish I could have revisited this spot and cut those wires.
From the train over Donner Pass, looking down on Donner Lake. The ski cabin we rented for many years is on the closer shore of the lake.
A big mainfest heads north with a solo ACU up front and two GE's running radio mid-train. Wonder if that tree has got hit by lightning recently, as it looked considerably healthier a few years ago.
