Urgency...

The streets of Mississauga are never quiet, this city is at its limits for growth the only way from here is up. and I mean skyscrapers. the wail of sirens echoed off the surrounding buildings, making a terrible ruckus.

Suddenly a firetruck came speeding by us. I quickly fired this shot .

When I got home I added a slight motion blur to give it a sense of Urgency....

It's late evening yesterday, as I'm heading towards Glennallen on the Glenn Highway, and the mountains of the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve are quite impressive.

I used Peakfinder to determine what I was looking at. Mount Drum is the center mountain at about 40 miles from me in this photo. Mount Drum is a stratovolcano with an elevation of 12,010 feet. To the right of Mt. Drum, the little peak is Snider Peak and the higher peak is Mount Aznetti and the large rounded mountain to its right is West Wrangell (14163'). Wrangell is a massive shield volcano which is still active. Stratovolcanos are explosive while shield volcanos tend to ooze - think Hawaii. The tallest peak to the left of Mt. Drum is Mount Sanford (16237').

The sun was just peeking above the horizon, providing some nice colors on the Wrangell-St. Elias Park mountains in the far distance.

INDIEN, Khajuraho (Tempel)

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu and Jain temples in Madhya Pradesh, India, about 175 kilometres (109 mi) southeast of Jhansi. They are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.[1][2] The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures.[3]

Most Khajuraho temples were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela dynasty.[4] Historical records note that the Khajuraho temple site had 85 temples by 12th century, spread over 20 square kilometers. Of these, only about 20 temples have survived, spread over 6 square kilometers.[2] Of the various surviving temples, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is decorated with a profusion of sculptures with intricate details, symbolism and expressiveness of ancient Indian art.[5]

The Khajuraho group of temples were built together but were dedicated to two religions—namely Hinduism and Jainism—suggesting a tradition of acceptance and respect for diverse religious views among Hindus and Jains.[6

the latest Stagecoach London order was these long awaited ADL E400EVCities for the 160 and the 180, all 36 of them are now in action on these routes (15 for the 160 and 10 for the 180 as its a mixed hybrid and electric allocation) and they suit these routes quite well in my opinion. I do miss GoAhead London on this route but Stagecoach don't seem too bad on it!

Three terracotta slabs depicting three of the Herakles' labors: the Nemean Lion, the Lernaean Hydra, and the Cretan Bull. These terracotta reliefs belong to a group of similar findings identified as the “Campana Slabs”. Originally painted, the slabs were used as decorative coverings for public and private buildings. The slabs were mass-produced like tiles and bricks, and cast from a matrix. Their use likely dates back to the terracotta decorations found in Etruscan architecture, and perhaps reflects the bronze decorations applied to bases and altars or as wall coverings.

The name Campana comes from the Marquis Giampietro Campana who, in the first half of the nineteenth century, had assembled a rich collection of archaeological findings, sold in 1861 and today dispersed among various museums.

Not the best picture I've taken, however considering that this was taken on my phone and has managed to come out this clear is impressive, however I did have a go and edit the picture a little bit to make it more brighter (I tend usually not to edit my photos and keep them how they are)

This picture [and the past few] was/were taken with my new phone camera, which I absolutely love. It has proved to be really good and so much more convenient to use than my usual camera I take bus photos with, and because of that I have to sadly report that my camera will no longer be used. It's had a good run from 2017 but now I think it's run it's course and it's time to say goodbye. I will continue to upload archives from it, but for the time being future photos will be taken from my phone camera, unless I can get a proper photography camera which for now i can say, ☝️ stayed tuned for that...

A partial allocation of Electric buses were ordered for Route 180 as part of the route's award to stagecoach London. The other half of the allocation is made up from 2014 Enviro400Hs from other routes that suffered frequency reductions in the past.
