Everything old is new once again. wider leg flared denim jeans. Afros and perms are making their way back into fashion. Even the automotive industry has had a bit of a love fest with 1960-70 styled muscles cars in the last few years..

 

Hence this is just a photo of a light bulb I bought the other day; it was labeled as "classic old time retro light bulb" and only cost me $10.00 each. I may have been robbed!

 

I remember discarding all my incandescent bulbs for these new power saving / last forever compact Fluorescent then LCD and now LED / ones.

 

I am pretty sure it has only been a few years since the dawn of LCD and LED bulbs, but even so. it caught my eye and my interest. and I thought it would make a great prop for my photography.

Floral Clock

Travel along the scenic Niagara Parkway, towards Niagara-on-the-Lake, to visit Niagara Parks' famous Floral Clock. The intricate designs on the face of the Floral Clock are created with thousands of carpet bedding plants and are changed twice each year. The planted face of the Floral Clock is maintained by Niagara Parks horticulture staff, while the mechanism inside is kept in working order by Ontario Power Generation. The tower at the back of the clock houses Westminster chimes that greet each quarter hour.

These electric E400 Citys were the first electric double decker vehicles in this fleet and route 111 is one of the main routes on which the vehicles are allocated.

 

With cycle lanes on both sides of the road, photography is a bit easier here now as the buses do not seem so distant on this stretch of the Oxford Road.
