Lincolnshire Roadcar 1378 (LRB 578W) an ECW bodied Leyland Atlantean, seen resting at Lincoln depot back in July 1996.
Today's story and sketch by me #1378, is about the pedestrian that was just moments ago dropped out of a swirling Dimension Portal riding a Custom Mobility Scooter. He dropped out next to that banana palm, just as Deputy Cosmo was on patrol nearby, he spotted the dark swirling portal, just as it was happening. Cosmo having traveled throughout the Cosmos, and to as many as Sixteen dimensions, and multiple galaxies, quickly recognized the pedestrian as being a Lippidian, from a small insignificant moon, known as Lippid, in Dimension Nine. Just how, or why a dimension portal picked up this pedestrian, who was probably minding his own business, riding along, when whoosh, he was picked up, swirled through many dimensions before arriving on our Tropical Volcanic Planet we call Budahunga. Cosmo will interview the Lippidian and have details soon, that will be a story for another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.

In the shadow of the large grain bins at Elevator M and the laker Burns Harbor hiding behind them, ILSX 1378 shuffles cars for loading in the shed farther back. Though the maroon and gold paint might at first give the impression it was owned by the SOO Line, this old SW1 was built for the Boston and Maine railroad as their 1122 before ILSX picked it up a while back. While this elevator isn’t photographed as much due to their inconsistent loading and unloading periods and a lack of boats taking or discharging cargo, this little switcher sure proves to be a gem on Superior’s east side.
Gisteren bezocht ik met de mannen van Fotostop.be de museumspoorlijn van de Stoomtrein Dendermonde - Puurs. Zij rijden op een deel van de oude NMBS lijn 52 'Antwerpen Zuid - Dendermonde'. In Baasrode-Noord heeft de vereniging haar depot.
Met het lekkere nazomerweer was het een heerlijk dagje om de gedachten eens goed te verzetten en deze spoorlijn samen weer eens te verkennen.
Iets voorbij Oppuurs richting St. Amands troffen we de SDP 3 opnieuw. Nu met de reizigerstrein terug uit Puurs naar Baasrode-Noord.
Direct achter haar hangt de motorwagen ES 205, een dienstvoertuig, welke SDP nodig heeft om te rangeren op het eindpunt in Puurs. Ter plekke kan men daar namelijk niet omlopen. Een tweede tractievoertuig en een kort kopspoor maakt dat men toch met stoomlocomotief voorop weer kan terugrijden naar Baasrode-Noord.
De kleine, maar sterke drie-asser werd in 1922 gebouwd door de Forges-Usines et Fonderies Haine-St-Pierre. Ze werd geleverd aan de 'Scheerders Van Kerckhove’ in Sint-Niklaas, waar het lokje op het fabrieksterrein treinen met cement en andere bouwmaterialen reed. Volgens de site van SDP werd ze gebruikt tot in de jaren '60 een lekkage aan de ketel optrad.
Volgend jaar mag zij dus haar 100-jarig bestaan gaan vieren...
