Ik neem jullie graag 12 jaar terug in de tijd, toen de InterCity-treinen van de relatie Eupen - Oostende nog vast in de hand van reeks 13 en bijbehorende I11 rijtuigen.
Op één van de weinige zonnige dagen van de maand augustus 2010 - dat jaar waren we namelijk op zomervakantie aan zee na de geboorte van mijn oudste zoon - stond ik in de vooravond paraat in Oudenburg om de richting Oostende rijdende treinen fotografisch vast te leggen, terwijl mama in de buurt aan het wandelen was met de koets.

Back to August 2010, when I was standing in Oudenburg to wait for trains going to Oostende.
One of the trains I could photograph was this homogene IC train coming from Eupen: nowadays one can see an 18 combined with I10/I11/M7-coaches for these trains. In 2010, that was slightly different!

Today's story and sketch by me #1354 Is about Smith the Extraterrestrial Time Traveling Bounty Hunter, you see under the Banana Palm. Smith has traveled here to this Volcanic Tropical Planet we call Budahunga, on three previous occasions, each time he would ask if we had seen someone or something, he was tracking. Smith somehow has the ability to travel through dimensions like you or I would walk the isles of a supermarket. Deputy JB and myself landed had a short conversation about a fugitive that escaped from the Playa Beautimus Maximum Security Prison Planet. Luckily we had not seen the Ten foot tall Six hundred pound Summagen, When I told Smith we had never seen a Summagen, he reached into Stylish Bounty Hunter Trench Coat, pulled out some kind of Interdimensional travelers powder shaker, sprinkled some blue powder on the gravel in front of him, instantly a Deep Blue Quivering Stargate opened, Smith walked into it and was gone. If and when Smith returns to Budahunga, I'm hoping to get some of his Blue Stargate Powder, until next time Tata the Rod Blog.
El cotxe 1354 de Avanza Baix és un Heuliez GX137 que procedeix de la flota de Mohn a on tenia la mateixa calca. Aquest cotxe tenia la lliurea del bus urbà de Viladecans anteriorment. A la fotografia el veiem circulant a la linia N14.
Vanaf het nieuwe talud kijkend in de richting van Amsterdam zien we het nieuwe station Weesp in aanbouw. Dit gedeelte werd eerst in dienst gesteld waarna de bestaande baan ook werd voorzien van een nieuwe brug en stationsvoorzieningen.
Intussen geen onbekende trein meer onder de treinspotters.
Vandaag reed de allerlaatste (?, naar het schijnt zou er eind deze maand nog een bedevaarttrein uit Bertrix vertrekken...) bedevaarttrein van Lourdes naar Maastricht. Daarna zou hij leeg vertrekken van Maastricht naar Vorst-rijtuigen, via ijn 36.
We beslisten post te vatten in Remicourt, tussen Luik en Leuven. Het eerste plaatsje dat we op het oog hadden was onbruikbaar geworden, dan maar snel iets anders gaan zoeken en gelukkig vonden we dit. De 1354 kreeg de eer deze trein van Jeumont naar Maastricht en daarna naar Vorst te rijden.

UP 1354, an April 1972 graduate of La Grange, IL is leading todays version of the M-TPTP seen here at about MP 24.15 on the UP Kansas Sub.
Built as D&RGW 3099 back in the day this GP40-2 likely hauled piggyback trains across the Rocky Mountains on the point of the Railblazer trains between Denver and Salt Lake City. That is a far cry from the mundane duties of being a road switcher hauling covered hoppers of cement, lime and reefer boxcars full of french fries.
