Gisteren vond de overbrenging plaats van een rijtje van 8 klassieke motorstellen van Ronet naar Athus, bestemd voor sloop.
Het betrof de stellen 732, 733, 735, 739, 745, 746, 768 en 978. Het transport werd verzekerd door de 1349 met de 7763 en 7749 in opzending en reed via Aarlen.
Het transport reed op tijd en werd door drie fotografen vastgelegd op deze plek aan lijn 162 bij Natoye.
Ook deze IC trein naar Oostende kwam langs terwijl de zon meer en meer onder aan het gaan was.
Waar is de tijd dat de treinen van deze relatie nog met reeks 13 onderweg waren...

I think of the few Trogon shots I got, this one has the most detail. It is a little noisy though since the lighting was marginal.
The back of the Cuban Trogon is a blue-green colour.

Today's story and sketch by me #1349, is about the return of Man Cave Posse Detective JB, who disappeared many months ago while chasing the Zombie character named Majol, you see under the very banana palm he was under, when a dimension portal appeared and sucked Majol and Deputy JB into dimension twenty, and onto an unknown hot humid smelly planet, only known as the Stinky planet in dimension twenty. Luckily the Stinky Planet had drinkable water, and lots of Pink Stink Berries, which JB said are quite Tasty, when you get use to the dead fish smell. Just as mysteriously as they disappeared, they have returned to this Tropical Volcanic Planet we Call Budahunga. JB became friends with Majol when he realized Majol could climb effortlessly up the Seventy foot tall Stinkberry Trees to pick the berries. Actually after the first few months JB forgot why he had Been chasing Majol, if he remembers it will have to be a story for another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.

Lineas stuurt haar treinen met bestemming Thionville, Woippy en Uckange graag eens via lijnen 96, 117, 124 en 162. Wellicht doet Lineas dit om de lijnkennis van de bestuurders niet te laten verzuimen. Dat speelt wel in het voordeel van de fotografen. Lijn 96 kent over het algemeen niet zo veel goederenverkeer meer, nu de ballast-trafiek van SNCF-Fret voor de zoveelste keer stopgezet is.
Het moet al zaterdag zijn om eens geluk te hebben langs lijn 96. Dan rijden er planmatig vier goederentreinen via lijn 96 richting Noord-Frankrijk en Athus. Een goede zaak voor wie graag eens de iets minder drukke lijntjes zoals lijn 96 een bezoekje brengt.
Lineas heeft containertreinen die vertrekken vanuit verschillende terminals in de haven van Antwerpen (Oudendijk, Noordzeeterminal, Oorderen, Combinant, Krommenhoek, Kalishoek,..). De Hupac-treinen komen afwisselend vanuit bundels Oorderen en Combinant, want daar is de Hupac-terminal gevestigd. Die treinen rijden beurtelings naar Aarau, Basel en Gallarate.
Op de foto zien we zo’n Aarau-shuttle met de 1349 en 1317 op kop. Zij zullen de trein verzekeren tot ergens in Noord-Frankrijk.
