In the east German city of Magdeburg 83 of these LHB NGT8D trams operate alongside a handful of Tatra trams. Several of the trams seen while in Magdeburg had a Tatra trailer wagon as can be seen at the rear here.
Two nights ago we had the first big flash-and-boom show of summer. As the advance storm front passed by to the north, I positioned myself - in the relative safety of my car - with a view of the western sky. You can see the last sliver of light from the sunset afterglow at the bottom right. A few minutes after I made this shot the rain came pouring down. Near Val Marie, Saskatchewan.

Il Carnevale di Venezia è tra i più famosi di tutto il mondo ed è un appuntamento internazionale la cui importanza si rinnova di anno in anno attraverso la partecipazione di migliaia di persone che invadono calli e campielli, in una dimensione fantastica che solo Venezia può offrire.

We waren in Dinant en om de avond door te brengen, besloten we om nog een uurtje naast het spoor te staan. Het zonnetje scheen af en toe, en we hoopten op de Athus-Meuse misschien nog een cargo te zien. We hadden ook geen plaats opgezocht, en we gingen gewoon met de auto de spoorlijn volgen in de hoop nog een plekje te vinden vanwaar we wat konden fotograferen. In Yvoir vonden we een leuke plaats bij een, wat in een put gelegen, voetbalveld. Er kwamen tot onze verbazing wel twee cargo's door. De eerste was een MSC van Athus naar Berendrecht, en deze was een Ambrogio-shuttle richting Muizen.

Les dimanches en fin de journée, une batterie de frets se met en route en région de Thionville en direction de la Belgique. Parmis ces trains, on retrouve ce Woippy-Antwerpen Noord assuré par l'UM des 1302 et 1306. Malheureusement, les waggons chargés de Bulldozers Catterpillar que ce train comporte régulièrement, se trouvent en queue de convoi.
Am frühen Sonntagabend setzten sich um Thionville eine Vielzahl an Güterzügen in Richtung Belgien in Bewegung. Einer dieser Züge verbindet den Rangierbahnhof Woippy mit Antwerpen-Noord.
In Feb. of 1974 the C&NW got new MP15DC's and the 1306 was sent to Nelson/Sterling. Shown here is the very first night it was set out at Nelson, Ill., Brand new never used yet.

Als gebürtiger Düsseldorfer hat es mich schon sehr früh in die Ferne gezogen. Frankfurt, München, Wien, Graz und seit 1999 wohnhaft in Jennersdorf, im wunderschönen Südburgenland.
Im ausgeübten Beruf als Werbegestalter und Grafiker (1966-1992) aber auch in der Selbständigkeit (bis 2012) ist die bildende Kunst immer allgegenwärtig gewesen.
Meine Leidenschaft sind Experimente mit verschiedenen Hilfsmitteln und Materialien wie zum Beispiel:
Kurzfilme mit und ohne Kamera - Kodak-Sofortbilder ganz ohne Kamera - Negativstreifen und Dias anders gesehen - PC-Fehler zur kreativen Weiterverarbeitung verwenden - Digitalfotografie und ihre Möglichkeiten mit einem Apple-Computer kombinieren und verfeinern - und bis heute noch vieles mehr entdecken...
