1974 Fiat 124 Abarth coupe.
The 124 model was sold new in New Zealand, but as elsewhere the climate was not kind to the questionable metal quality of the body shell and their time on the road was quite short. This survivor is very rusty indeed, having gained a full after-market (!) sun roof amongst other large holes in its shell !
This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 124 in 2004.
Seen here on Princes Street.
This bus was on loan to Empark at Edinburgh Airport, due to their bus haven been involved in a collision with an Edinburgh Tram and away for repairs.
Seen here now working for Lothian Country as a spare bus.
It was refurbished with LED screens and generic white paint job to allow it to work for any part of Lothian Buses.

Dart with her 2nd place ribbon, and in our Exterior search, at the moment when she's telling me that she's found the hide. An elevated hide, behind that old implement, made particularly challenging by its placement right near a corner with a stiff wind blowing from behind us. She had to work hard for this one through distraction in the form of critter scent -- foxes & feral cats & who knows what else, with their poop visible all over the search area. Good focus & communication, Dart!

With the imminent replacement with 31/4 and hauled stock, the Inter-City Trans-Pennine Class 123 & 124 units were in their last days. I liked these units. They were comfortable and powerful and the Class 123 ex WR units rode extremely well.
A few weeks earlier and with a Class 124 DMCL at the buffer end a unit prepares for another run across the Pennines 4th May 1984

Aquest vehicle va estar asignat anteriorment a una llençadora del aparcament de llarga estada del aeroport del Prat i encara manté la lliurea.

This version of WR 124 is a combination of Hubble and JWST MIRI data. A press release recently featured the same data, and since this is one of my favorite objects, of course I had to have a go at it. The official release from the ERO team was a little bit dark. I also went ahead and used the same G'MIC processing to remove much of the banding noise from the dark parts of the image, allowing me to make it even brighter.

Happy Halloween!
Tonight Dave and I went and shot the East Village Halloween Parade, afterwards we met with Odie, Prue and Veruna for a bite to eat... for some reason people allowed Odie to buy a ghillie suit.. He had way too much fun with it, hanging around outside the pizza place scaring the hell out of everyone walking by.

A lovely start to the day.

To be accurate, this shows the end of the foxglove season with the promise of self-sown seeds for next year’s plants.
