Predictably I'm going to say that's a good use for a church building, but in fairness, (and why not?), Christian Aid seemed to be well represented amongst the marchers.
I do find it hard to understand why "the church", any sort of church, isn't, and hasn't already and for a very long time been, very much more active on environmental ssues. Surely, if a person believes in a god, they can't possibly believe that that god wants us to make a hellish mess of the planet, or even a bit of a mess, can they. Can they?

'Tosca', el clásico universal de Puccini (1889) que presenta Emiliano Suárez, cuenta con un elenco de excepción capitaneado por la extraordinaria soprano ucraniana Irina Avramenko, acompañada por Shalva Mukeira y Manuel Mas, bajo la dirección musical de José Ramón Martín Díaz. Suárez nos propone una 'Tosca' situada en los últimos años de la dictadura franquista con una protagonista al más puro estilo Ava Gardner y un Cavaradossi, pintor anarquista inspirado en la imagen de Pablo Picasso, que serán perseguidos y maltratados por la brutal represión policial del régimen encarnada en la figura del teniente Scarpia. Irina Avramenko, nació en Ucrania y realizó su formación como pianista y cantante en los Conservatorios de Odessa y Kiev, también es maestra de piano y canto y fue exalumna del Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts (Valencia, España).
