In the Corps' "'Wildflower Viewing Area", at the base of their dam thing, grows an ample supply of monarda citriodora, lemon balm.
From the time I first read Shakespeare in college, I had associated this flower with Ophelia's "long purples", which in my day were "called by the shepherds a grosser name".
It was only a few years ago that I discovered that Ophelia never saw any monarda citriodora, and she was talking about a different plant altogether.
I understand that the citriodora can be used to make a tasty tea, but I have never used it, plentiful though it is.
