December 11, 346/366 (1807/1827)- One of my students broke the screen on their iPhone5 so insurance sent them a new one. They have to send the old one back in 15 days, so we decided to get some action shots of it bouncing around some. I don't think the insurance company will be able to repair this one!

My 49th birthday included a visit to my heart surgeon. He knew I had named my "cough bear" with his middle name, and agreed to autograph it on this visit.
The "Inigo Montoya" nametag is from when I took Hardy along to Alchemy: The Georgia Burn.
I just expected his signature, not the nice note. No, he didn't sing to me - but he shocked the nurse almost out of her skin by hugging me after telling me to come back in a year. He doesn't DO hugs. Another staff member came by to look me over as I was checking out, saying "You have got to be one special patient, ma'am." Nice honor from a handsome man :)
I spent the rest of the day doing fun things, including losing at Scrabble to a friend I'd made while getting inpatient physical and occupational therapy.
