Celebrated the first day of spring with a trip out to MSP! The weather was perfect. Temps were above 40F and the sun was shining resulting in the snow melting away.

Delivered new to FedEx in July 1993 as a pure freighter and still earning its keep almost thirty years later. Ferried LAS-VCV 29 December 2023 and believed retired.

Built in 1993 for FedEx as a pure freighter. Ferried Memphis to Victorville 30 May 2023, on retirement.
At the end of a nice spottingday in Paris CDG, back in March 2011, came this Fedex MD-11F in from Memphis, with a heavy rainstorm over Paris approaching.
This MD 11 was originally delivered to Swissair in 1991 as HB-IWE.
She left he fleet in 2004 and was during 2005 converted to a freigther in Naples (Italy), for FEDEX.
In April 2023, she left the FEDEX fleet for storage in Victorville.

This wonderful MD-11F of Centurion Cargo visited Fortaleza for a few years, for a fuel stop between Amsterdam and Campinas. Always a pleasure to see this mighty triholer here.
Seen here pushing back on a great afternoon, on a kinda rare daylight appearance! Sadly, this MD-11F (N988AR) was written off after a hard landing at VCP and was scrapped there.
Unfortunately, MD-11 jets are becoming more and more difficult to see. At least FedEx, UPS, Lufthansa Cargo and others seem to be keeping them for a bit more.
