Turbine hall. Having visited a few 1960's era power stations now, I can't help but think that destroying these places is criminal, they should have been converted to burn biomass and fitted with carbon capture equipment. The enormous waste of scrapping turbo-generators that are still in perfect working order – there was a complete new High Pressure rotor sitting in the turbine hall, as a spare (in foreground under a tarpaulin). Worth millions of pounds, yet just going for scrap. :-/

65-1179-4 (Dep. Sibiu) cu IR372 "Transilvania" (Brasov - Budapesta Keleti) trece pe langa cartierul Strand din Sibiu si se indreapta spre statia Sebes Alba. Primavara abia ce a sosit, ca mecanicii titulari ai acestei masini au inceput deja procesul de spalare (a se vedea lateralul GM-ului).

The very last truck my dad drove, back in 2019, i was amazed how reduced it is, it has 12 gears, and it redlines at 80Km/h. Still remember going with him one night, and flooring it home at about 3am, at 80Km/h, of course...
