De posttrein van noord naar zuid rijdt begin van de middag door (of over) de Gotthard, van zuid naar noord gebeurt dat begin van de avond. Op 22 juli 2022 was deze laatste kort uitgevallen. Achter de loc werden vier nog erg verse wissellaadbakken vervoerd; de opschriften zijn een woordspeling op Zwitserse plaatsnamen. Op de achtergrond enkele wolkjes die binnen een uur uit zouden groeien tot een enorm noodweer en dus het einde van de foto-avond inluidden.

Re 4/4 II 11286 hat 1002 022-4 im Schlepp und ist bei Schinznach-Dorf unterwegs in Richtung Brugg. Aufgenommen am 15.01.2021.
SN69 ZPP is an AD E40D/AD Enviro400 MMC new to Busways Travel Services in December 2019 as their 11286. It is seen here on Blackett Street in Newcastle whilst operating service 40 to Chapel House.

Am Mittag des 17.4.14 wurde noch die Stelle an der Ausfahrt von Erstfeld angefahren, da dort die Obstbäume herrlich blühten. Der Postzug ins Tessin mit der Re 4/4 11286 war für dieses Motiv natürlich gerne gesehen!
L'ultima Re 6/6 (ora Re 620) rimasta nella vecchia livrea verde, la Re 6/6 11663 "Eglisau" (Re 620 063-8), è qui ripresa in transito nella stazione di Preglia (lungo la linea Briga-Domodossola) insieme ad una Re 4/4 (Re 420 286-7) con un treno combinato in direzione Domo II, mentre le ombre della sera iniziano ad avanzare verso la ferrovia.
The last green SBB Re 6/6 locomotive (Re 6/6 11663 "Eglisau", now Re 620 063-8) is seen here in Preglia hauling a long intermodal train towards Domo II, together with Re 420 286-7, while the sun is slowly going behind the mountains.
Another seaside location with a rocky foreshore, but this time on the other side of the island of Ireland, and yet another island! Coney Island, Ardglass, Co. Down from the Lawrence Collection looks like a very pleasant place to spend a summer, and the shot has so much of interest in both the foreground and out there in the background! There are so many Coney Islands about the world so yet another one should be no surprise, but this seems more inhabited than most – apart from the one in the US, I suppose?
