Last week Thursday was truly a beautiful sunny day for a hike; the temperature was in the high seventies with little or no wind.
We were taking photo's at the lake when we noticed a lone goose and her gosling swimming across the lake.
The rest of her brood was way ahead with her mate, i suppose the little guy must have been a straggler the momma had to go back and get.

Classic afternoon shot - here we see SBB Re4/4 locomotive 11255 / 420 255 passes through the scenic village of Gurtnellen on the North ramp of the Gotthard on the afternoon of the 23/6/16 with IR2327 from Basel to Locarno.
Re 4/4 II 11255 und Re 6/6 11609 "Uzwil" sind bei Elsau mit dem Postzug nach Zürich-Mülligen beschäftigt, aufgenommen am 08.02.2023.
KORSIKA, Bonifacio,
Der Ort teilt sich in zwei Gebiete: die Ville haute (Oberstadt) genannte mittelalterliche Altstadt und die Marina im Hafenbereich. Die Ville haute liegt auf einer 900 Meter langen, schmalen, parallel zur Küste verlaufenden Landzunge aus Kalkstein, der Île de Fazio, die an ihrer Seeseite aus einer durchschnittlichen Höhe von 70 Metern faktisch senkrecht zum Meer hin abfällt.
Der Hafen von Bonifacio mit dem Kalksteinplateau im Süden und der darauf angesiedelten Altstadt ist wohl einer der eindrucksvollsten im Mittelmeerraum. Das äußere Ufer ist derart ausgewaschen, dass die Häuser darauf wie auf einem Balkon stehen.
11614, 11255 und 11605 (kalt) sind mit einem kurzen Bauzug bei Sins Richtung Rotkreuz unterwegs.

2016 nahm ich mir etwas Zeit die eine oder andere Fotostelle am Gotthard noch abzuklappern, bevor der ganze Verkehr durch den GBT rollt. Am 23.06.2016 fotografierte ich die Re 4/4 11255 mit IR 2327 auf der mittleren Meienreussbrücke bei Wassen.
Een korte UC, getrokken door 2 loks van SBB Cargo (11255 en 11350) passeert op 11 juni 2014 de fotografen op de middagstek te Silenen, die zich overigens precies aan de overkant van het spoor bevindt ten opzichte van de ochtendstek

Noch gar nicht lange her und dennoch fast schon vergessen. Heute herrscht beinahe Todesstille an der einst legendären Bergstrecke. Die Re 4/4 11255 beförderte einen IR nach Locarno und passiert soeben die oberste Ebene bei Wassen.
