This flatcar, owned by Progress Rail Services, is specially designed to carry railcar wheels. It was built in July 1981, likely as a standard bulkhead flat, but has since been converted to MOW service. It's seen here on a BNSF train heading for UP's Englewood Yard in Houston.

After a very long wait my Sony 28-135 arrived today. However, due to stormy weather I did not get the opportunity to test it in detail.
Because of a short break in the weather I was able to visit the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin Cemetery and Dublin City University and take a few still photographs. I will test its video capabilities at a later date [I expect a long learning curve].
As this lens is designed for video work it has a number of specialised features and it has servo zoom which is nice to have but I am having a problem because the lens continues to zoom after I have stopped pressing the control and this is really annoying. I know that the lens has “fly by wire” controls but this should not happen.
The Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens is a wide-ranging zoom lens that covers wide-angle to telephoto perspectives while adding many features for full-frame, APS-C, or E-mount camcorder or still photography camera systems. The lens features a powered zoom control with a variable speed and zoom rotation direction reversal capability.

Retro Chic
Radio Days has been here since 1993, offering vintage clothing and accessories from the 1920s to the 1980s. The business also hires clothing for film and photography sessions. Lower Marsh is an ideal location for this emporium of the past, being in the thriving, cosmopolitan, market area between the Old Vic Theatre and Westminster Bridge Road.
This shop is famed for its period and seasonal window displays. Today, a 1950s TV played period pictures next to a Utility style sideboard.
LATEST NEWS I was sad to learn that from the end of May, 2016, the store has closed after 23 year's of continuous trading. The proprietors have said that they are moving to pastures new.

Now it's my most published photo! Who knew?
I remember this place being here in the 1960s. So far, I've been unable to find any history of it.
