An amazing 110 format camera, I found in a thrift shop. I didn't even realize there was 110 cameras with features like this. SLR, ZOOM f=25 - 50 1:4.5 lens, focus, and more! Wish I had some 110 film to try this out.

In 1981 my wife bought me a dear little Pentax Auto 110 for Christmas. In time I added extra lenses and a flash gun and used it for ten years until I felt the need for a bigger camera (was that a mistake?) and got a Canon EOS 600.
Today I saw an advert for a Pentax Optio I-10. Doesnt it look sweet? I could almost persuade myself that I need one of those - but I don't :)

Unless their is a sudden coup in the toy buying department at ASDA or Modelmatic restock, then my chances of getting the superb new for 2018 Globe Trotters edition of the Land-Rover Defender 110 at a sensible price is slim! I can console myself though with plenty of these green special editions which surprisingly actually DID appear in many ASDA stores back in late 2016 :-) It isn't a full on premium version though the addition of full front tampo detailing and the deletion of side graphics made a huge difference to this much loved casting. The only premium thing was the pricing! Grrr
Mint and boxed.
Got my early birthday present from my wife yesterday! A Pentax Auto 110 which is supposed to be the smallest SLR camera in the world. I found a steal on eBay for the camera with a 24mm and 50mm lens.
This morning the 110 rolls of film I ordered came in, now I just need something to shoot.

This was my favorite shot since my iPhone gives it a sense of scale. The thing is tiny!
Made in USA and Canada , 1978-1981 . Shutter speed set by film cartridge and weather symbols; combined aperture and shutter; integral electronic flash . With film transport lever .
I don't really think this counts for WR, but we'll go for it anyway.

The Triumph Tiger 110 was a British sports motorcycle first made by Triumph at their Coventry factory between 1953 and 1961. Developed from the Triumph Thunderbird the T100 first appeared in 1954. Although it was supposed to be the sports model of the Triumph range the Tiger 110 was fitted with the enclosed panels from the smaller twins in 1961 which earned it the nickname 'bathtub' and made it look outdated, so was replaced by the Triumph Bonneville.
The Triumph Tiger 110 650 cc OHV Twin was Triumph's fastest production motorcycle to date, developed for the American market which wanted a higher power output. The T110 first appeared in 1954. Originally produced with a cast iron cylinder block and head, this was quickly replaced with a light alloy cylinder head with special airways to improve cooling and austenitic iron valve seat inserts. The external oil fed pipes were also replaced with internal oilways via the pushrod tubes.[1]
The Triumph Tiger 100 was named because it was capable of 100 mph (160 km/h), so it was an obvious marketing idea to call the new bike the Tiger 110 - although technically the best one way speed obtained by The Motor Cycle magazine in tests was 109 mph (175 km/h) (with a strong tail wind) - but the speedometer was reading 114 mph (183 km/h), so there was a margin of error.
By 1961, the Tiger 110 was no longer Triumph's fastest model, the dual carburettor Bonneville T120 having taken its mantle. Triumph added the enclosed panels from the Twenty One which, resembling an upside-down Victorian slipper bathtub, earned the bike the nickname 'bathtub
World Speed Record
On 5 September 1962, at Bonneville Salt Flats American racer Bill Johnson secured the world land speed record on a heavily modified Triumph T110 with a top speed of 224.57 mph (361.41 km/h).This success led to the development of the Tiger T110's successor - the Triumph Bonneville.
