Seeing what my new PC can do if I just play with EEP and have some patience. I usually snap one of these in less than 2 minutes then toss it up here but it's taking some time to find out what lighting works with PBR, so this was about 10 minutes in the chair.

Under the hazy gaze of the distant Cabinet Mountains, the Day Gas takes the junction switch onto MRL's 10th Sub. The joined-rail 10th Sub is the original Northern Pacific mainline, completed in 1883. Though since the completion of the cutoff through St Regis in 1909, the 10th has served as the alternate mainline between Paradise and Missoula although it still remains the normal routing for the gas locals.

The chapels of St Margaret and St Edmund in the north-east corner of Tewkesbury Abbey. Perfect for maximising the amount of chantry masses that could be said back in the day.
The Abbey Church of St Mary the Virgin, Tewkesbury – commonly known as Tewkesbury Abbey – is located in the English county of Gloucestershire. A former Benedictine monastery, it is now a parish church. Considered one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain, it has the largest Romanesque crossing tower in Europe. Tewkesbury had been a centre for worship since the 7th Century. A priory was established there in the 10th Century. The present building was started in the early 12th Century. It was unsuccessfully used as a sanctuary in the Wars of the Roses. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries, it became the parish church for the town. George Gilbert Scott led the Restoration of the building in the late 19th Century.
The churchmanship of the Abbey is strongly Anglo-Catholic.

An interesting freak of nature. The water on the road is not cold enough to freeze yet when sprayed onto the adjacent hedge by passing traffic it has frozen creating an interesting ice sculpture, Stanton Dale, 10th February 2021.
Bear Creek Golf Course
Welcome to the 10th tee box on the course! Yes, I'm pouting like a three year old, stomped my foot twice, and threw a quick mini tantrum! LoL!
Yes, March has not disappointed anyone knowing that when it comes in like a lamb, it's going out like a lion.
Red golf balls wouldn't even help today . . .

A wintery scenic shot of Shildon Signal Box, 10th March 2023. About three inches of snow had fallen overnight in County Durham but the day had dawned bright and sunny. Shildon Signal Box is situated on the Bishop Auckland branch and once controlled the connections into the Shildon wagon works (once one of the major wagon building and repair centres in the UK). It was built by the North Eastern Railway in 1887 and contains a McKenzie & Holland frame installed in 1928, now reduced to 42 levers. These days it has taken over control of the northern part of the Bishop Auckland branch (including Bishop Auckland) and a recent addition, replacing the loss of the connections to the wagon works has been the connections to the National Railway Museum centre “Locomotion”.
This is my first time to use Photoshop's neural filter. Photo was taken at the corner of J and 10th Street in Sacramento, CA.

A great selection of flight shots today from this incredible bird. I do not even bother with perched shots now as i have so many. Still a limited number of places left before this superb bird returns to Africa in a few weeks time.
My mom passed away on Valentine’s Day 10 years ago at the age of 71. We stopped for a short visit at the cemetery on this 10th anniversary of her passing. She always loved sending her children and grandchildren Valentine cards every year so I was inspired to make a big heart in the snow with my boots.

This photo is inspired by all of our loved ones who sadly cannot be with us.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

At 8.00am on Wednesday 10th December 2014, a daily routine unfolds in the village of Arbaroba, high in the mountains of Eritrea, as children head off to school and ladies wait for the bus to take them to shop for their provisions in the street markets of Nefasit. 1938-built Mallets 442-55 and 442-59 depart from the station heading a morning mixed train, complete with local 'day trippers', heading to Asmara for an out of daily routine 'special excursion', a memorable occasion for many locals, some children on board never having travelled on a steam-hauled train. The pride in the railway and the prospect of a better future, shared by all inhabitants encountered, can be appreciated here, as just about everyone can be seen following the passage of the train over the viaduct from below. The lack of male inhabitants in these villages was particularly notable, either working away peacefully or in conflict, having fled the country for Europe, or serving an indeterminate length of time undergoing mandatory national service, Eritrea still being in conflict with neighbouring Ethiopia over border issues at this time. Happily, a peace agreement was signed in Saudi Arabia between the two countries in September 2018. Subsequently, UN Sanctions against Eritrea have been lifted and aid for the railway is now being provided by the Italian Government and diesel locos have arrived. The wind of change is blowing for this country........

Omaha Nebraska on the 10th street bridge looking north. This was shot on a Saturday evening and it was just starting to get busy downtown.
I was standing in the turning lane with my tripod as traffic was driving by. I wanted the shot. LOL....
