Actually I was tagged by Sara. So here's 10 facts. I guess I'm supposed to tag some friends, too ------>>>
If I tagged you, it is because I consider you a friend. Don't feel obligated. Remove yourself if you want.
1. I don't have many close friends. Never have for a variety of reasons.
2. The friends I do have are almost all female. Guys just want to measure themselves. I hate the "mine is bigger than yours" mentality. They are just covering up insecurities. Gals are so much more open and honest with their emotions (yes there are exceptions).
3. Most of the time, I would rather be alone than be with other people.
4. I'm not a talkative person. At parties or large gatherings, I'm likely to be sitting off by myself. Or if I am in a group, I mostly listen and observe rather than run my mouth. When I do speak, it is only to add something I feel is really important.
5. The more people I meet, the more I like animals.
6. For me, nothing can match the feeling of experiencing a wild natural place with no one else around. Being alone with nature is the most liberating feeling.
7. The best places are those with no trace of human activity. Landscapes untouched by the hand of man. I seek them out with a passion.
8. My favorite place that I have found this (so far) is southern Utah. Between Zion and Capitol Reef National Parks lie some of the most remote landscapes on earth. There are places you can stand and see 100 miles in all directions with not a single man made object visible. Not a man made sound to be heard except your own breath and heartbeat.
9. As much as I seem to dislike people, that really isn't the case. Social justice is a big issue for me. Justice for those that society has left behind. Those without a voice who have been taken advantage of by the rich and powerful. Corporations still control my country and it sickens me.
10. I love to walk (again by myself). I used to run until I injured my knee senior year of high school during cross country (best sport ever).

1. Dusk or evening "golden hour" is my favorite time of day.
2. I call it magic hour.
3. There are few things I enjoy more than finding a quiet place to watch the day melt away and contemplate my place in the universe as darkness rolls in.
4. The awesome beauty of nature just blows me away.
5. I don't always show it, but I am pretty emotional and sentimental.
6. Number 4 and 5 have been known to collide in a way I can't explain. It just happens. I'll walk outside and be confronted by an amazing sunset. The impossible colors, delicate cloud shapes, whisper of the wind, soft melody of a bird song wrapping me in their grasp. Suddenly I just break down in tears. Stopped in my tracks, shaken to the core by a force that can't be seen.
7. I do not believe, as many do, that this proves the existence of an omniscient being. I'm not so bold as to claim that I know a god doesn't exist, but I do not personally believe in one.
8. I hope this doesn't offend anyone. Actually, I know it offends a lot of people. Oh well. I am who I am and I believe what I believe.
9. I don't try to push my beliefs off on other people. I respect others opinions even though I may disagree.
10. Don't know why I posted this. I generally keep my beliefs to myself and try to avoid controversy. Please don't turn this into a religious debate.

I was tagged by Bri. Ten facts, woo hoo!
1. Cyndi Lauper is my favorite singer in case any of you haven't figured that out by now.
2. I've loved her since I was in 6th grade (26 years ago, ouch).
3. Contrary to popular belief, she didn't disappear after the 80's. She made 4 albums in the 90's and 3 in the 2000's. Her latest was the incredible "Bring Ya to the Brink" in 2008.
4. I miss the 80's.
5. Whenever I am feeling down, I can always put on a Cyndi Lauper CD and I feel much better!
6. What makes me feel even better is the grandeur of nature. There is nothing like contemplating your own insignificance to really put things in perspective.
7. Flying does the same thing for me. All the problems and petty nuisances of life just vanish when you're cruising along above it all. The works of man all look so small.
8. I'm not what one would call a "people person". Most days, I merely tolerate my fellow humans. Other days, I have a notable disdain for humanity. Most of the time, I'd rather just be by myself.
9. Maybe that is why I enjoy nature and flying so much. Both are intensely personal experiences.
10. My ultimate dream would be to live in a cabin in the woods or up in the mountains. I would have a small back country airstrip nearby and my own airplane. A place where no one would bother me unless I wanted to be bothered.

Also I have been tagged a while back by Matt and Erkua, so here are ten facts about me:
1. - I am way to lazy even though I really badly need to move my ass and get a bit of exercise. Well, I got a sixpack wrapped in bacon - and as they say, everything is better with bacon ;o)
2. - I talk to myself... a lot, but at least the conversations are interesting.
3. - The bag I carry around most of the time puts most womens purses to shame with all the stuff I got in there.
4. - I can't drink any kind of Coka Cola/Pepsi/Afri Cola, I get really sick and get a bad taste in my mouth that lasts for days
5. - I love the smell of tobacco, coffee and tea before it is lit, brewed and whatever you call it with tea, even though I don't smoke, drink coffee and only have tea when I am sick.
6. - I can't be around people with an unpleasant voice, drives me nuts! Even if they get into the door at the other end of the building and they just say good morning, my toenails curl up.
7. - I got a scar over my right eye which I got when I was about 3 or 4 (I think). I ran into a bed head first
8. - I don't sit in chairs, I lie in them.
9. - I am not a sports car person - I like busses and vans
10. - Somebody once told me I got monkeyhands... long hands, long fingers and long and small palms.

1. I am almost 20 years old, and I am still afraid of the dark.
2. I want to be married by time I am 22ish, and have kids by time i'm 24. Crazy I know. When you're ready, you're ready.
3. I was planning on becoming a Radiologist, but then when my dad broke his leg and we visited him in the hospital I realized health care was not my thing. The hospitals grossed me out. I am now working towards becoming an English Literature major. One day, I will work for a book publishing company.
4. After working for Starbucks for 2 years, I have become seriously addicted to coffee. I spend too much money on my Americanos, I just need to buy an espresso machine.
5. I have over 40 something cousins. (there may be more.... I have lost track!) Most of which, I don't even know their name. My dad comes from a very big family.
6. One day, I will write a book. You all will get personally signed copies ;)
7. I cannot watch scary movies. They give me nightmares for months. Any movie dealing with exorcism is off limits. I have a HUGE fear of that type of thing.
8. I wish I was older than I really am. I feel like I am 23 already. I know everyone tells me I am a fool to say such a thing, and I won't think the same later in life... but whatever. ha!
9. I plan on moving after I get my degree, I have already let my boyfriend know when we are both done with college... we're out of here. I would love to live in California, but it's just too expensive.
10. Up until about 3 years ago, I was terrified to get in the ocean. There are so many things in the water that could be swimming around my legs, It just grossed me out.

1. I majored in Art - Conservation and Restoration, and I have two post-grads: one in Art History and one in Art Management.
2. My family owns a bakery and a restaurant, which is why I'm always eating candy and stuff that is generally bad for my health but OH SO GOOD.
3. I don't tolerate lies. It's the worst thing you can do to me.
4. I love driving, and I love driving fast.
5. I adore spicy food.
6. I sleep with my camera on my nightstand, and actually reach for it to see it it's there, sometimes.
7. I'm starting to collect old cameras.
8. I'm a sucker for notebooks and pens and everything related to writing.
9. I'm far more sensitive about criticism to my writing than I am about my photography.

1) I LOVE candy! chocolate, sour, sweet, you name it! I've tried it and I prolly loved it! Its all thanks to my Dads company who has a constant supply of legit candy 24/7
2) I have an inner nerd, I call him Linus Poindexter.(yup just made that up!)
3) My two favorite restaurants are Spoons and Snooze
4) My favorite animal is prolly a penguin. I want a pet penguin that doubles as a butler! (he already has the bow tie)
5) Snowboarding is one of the greatest feelings ever! Especially powder.
6) Vans are the best shoes EVER!
7) The Nuggets rule... Lakers Suck!
8) Friends is one of the greatest TV shows EVER!
9) The only person I would hire to be my body guard would be Jack Bauer.

Thought I would get today's photo over and done with so I can concentrate on my Audit Coursework.

10 facts.....hmmmm....
1. I love music, I mean really love it...If I don't listen to it every day I get really sad. For example I have had Marina and The Diamond's new album on repeat for the last couple of days....the total play count is near 200 songs :$
2. I didn't really go abroad till October 2007 and since then I have been to Germany, Hong Kong (twice), New Zealand, France, Czech Republic, Spain, Australia and Norway...I have the bug!
3. You may know that I study accounting and finance but you may not know that it's my second try at uni. I spent two years studying computer games design then dropped out.
4. That leads me nicely into my next fact...I'm a BIG geek! I like computer games, technology and the TV programme Red Dwarf (I even went to a convention some years back)
5. I love to plan, anything and everything! My two big holidays to NZ and Oz were planned day by day nearly minute by minute. It's not uncommon for me to workout my finances weekly and to plan meals for the coming week.
6. I've been with my amazing boyfriend for over 3 years now and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I even know exactly how I want to propose to him I'm just saving it for the perfect time....it may be next month, it may be next year (I know you'll read this Christian :p)
7. I am a strict vegetarian, even the thought of eating a by product of the slaughter process makes me feel sick to the stomach, I have been a vegetarian since I was very little but I've only been strict since 2008.
8. I love trees...there is something so beautiful and magical about them (a little like in Avatar)
9. I would rather read a non-fiction book...I love to learn new things. If I could have a magical power it would be one to do with learning everything there is to know in the world, I simply love knowledge!
10. Finally the last one...Not only am I utterly and totally addicted to American TV Shows I’m also in love with Hamish and Andy. They do an Australian radio show and I HAVE to listen to the podcasts (roughly 30-45mins 5 times a week) because they are amazing!!

Today I got "tagged" What does that mean? From what I understand is that you have to do a self portrait and then tell 10 things about yourself. Mr. Matthew Coughlin tagged me and I accepted the challenge. So before I get to the facts 'o' Michael, I'll give you a bit of the normal.
I had been browsing the internet when I heard that Aston Kutcher will be replacing Charley Sheen on Two and a half Men. I decided to search IMDB.com for any evidence but couldn't find any on the news. I did however, find a poster for the show depicting the main characters posing in a vertical "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" pose. I thought It would be the perfect shot to recreate but with all me! It was a lot harder than I had imagined and putting it together took over an hour of careful posing and 2 full reshoots. I was using shawn as a stand in so I could get the posing right. Both Shawn and I would pose as each character in order to get the positioning right. I would then use only the poses with me in them to create the composite. In hindsight, I would rather have done a less involved shot tonight as I have a big shoot in Miami Beach in the AM and it's a 2 hour drive! I have to be sleeping by 12:30 to wake at 6:30 and be out the door at 9:00am.
Anyway, on to the 10 facts.
1. I was born in buffalo NY and spent 19 years in the cold and gloomy city before trading it for the overly sunny hot and flat South Florida.
2. I once bit my tongue off by pretending I was super man! My tongue always sticks out when concentrating and when my chin hit the floor from a 5 foot fall the tongue just couldn't take it. FYI… they stitched it back on!
3. When I was 12 years old I took my bed sheets, a hammer and nails and went into the forest behind my house. I was determined to build a hang glider. I succeeded in building it and went up to the top of the hill and ran down. The wind caught just right and I was lifted a few feet off the ground. I freaked out and let go. It crashed to the ground along with me. I was too scared to try again and took my sheets back home!
4. My favorite food is cheese. I can eat pounds of it!
5. I want to be one of the top commercial photographers in the industry in less than 10 years
6. I love 80's music
7. I want to live in a 48' RV and travel the country for a long yet undetermined amount of time.
8. I'm scarred of heights but challenge the fear almost every chance I get. Unless its ladders. I hate ladders.
9. I once thought I was invincible. I found out otherwise and am now conscious with my actions!
10. I nearly failed high school on the account of being bored and not caring. However, once I decided to go to college and apply myself I graduated with a 4.0. Funny how that 4.0 doesn't help me get jobs! It's a receipt for a very expensive set of tutorials.

1.I was christened Nicola, but my parents called me Nici. My friend’s shortened it to Nick and then someone started calling me Nix. It just stuck.
2.I’m bionic – I have a metal plate in my left leg.
3.The most I’ve ever cried during a movie was while watching 8 below. I haven’t watched Marley or Hachi because I don’t think I’ll survive it.
4.Last year I was all about exercise. This year I just can’t get started. I have actually slept in my exercise gear to try and motivate myself into exercising first thing in the morning. It doesn’t work.
5.I only got my driver’s license last year. I’m 29.
6.I’m tone deaf and rhythmless, I can’t even clap to music.
7.If money was not an option, I’d drink sweet dessert wine, travel and write really bad poetry.
8.I can’t handle pain. I can’t even hear about pain. Johann’s aunt is a nurse and one day she thought it might be a good idea to tell me about the wonders of childbirth. I passed out.
9.I’m the only person I know, who don’t mind aging. I hope to reach at least 103 and think I was born to be 80. That doesn’t mean I won’t moan about wrinkles and sagging.
10.Finally I’m extremely clumsy. I fall down a lot. This is not because of sweet dessert wine.

1· The one in the photo is my little new cat called Sadie Vedder (taken from The Beatles song "Sexy Sadie", and Pearl Jam's lead singer's last name, Eddie Vedder). My sister found her on the roof of my house and tried to find her a home (we also have a dog who absolutely hates cats), but now we love her and she's part of the family (:
2· When I was about 3-y-o I loved singing the "la la la, Hey Jude" part of "Hey Jude" by The Beatles.
3· Tomorrow I'm going to a mini-vacations with my family to the south of Argentina. It's my favorite place in my country and I'll promise to take lots of photos!
4· I want a fisheye lens. Quickly.
5· While I'm writing this, Sadie Vedder's sleeping on my legs and she's keeping me warm (:
6· I'm anxious lately.
7· I tend to give up quickly if something's not the best from the start...I hate being like that.
8· I've decided not to get involved in any kind of serious way with any men for a while (:
9· Tomorrow's gonna be the first time I'll be in an airplane... I'm so exited!
10· I'm so sleepy today, it's a cloudy cold day, perfect for drinking hot coffee or chocolate in bed while watching some good movie... I wish I'd have Almost Famous on DVD ):

okay so I've been tagged like a gazilion times and i keep telling myself that the next self portrait i do i'll list the facts but i keep forgetting so here they are:

i keep seeing all these self portrait / 10 fact thingies out there... im not sure if im goin at this the right way but i wanna give it a try ;)

1) i am a stay at home mother of a 6, 7 and 8 year old... some days are adventures... other days i wonder what childhood MISadventures im being paid back for ;}
2) i was a straight A student in highschool yet i never mastered the whole 'spelling and grammer' thing... so yea... i may have been a grand kiss a$$ but now at 30 i just look like a damn fool!! ;)
3) i cry over Everything!!!! those humane society commercials are the Worst!!!!!!
4) i Love my plants!!! i live in a desert and the soil is garbage but i do my best by making compost!! i would have never imagined that rotting produce could turn into something so beautiful!!

6) i Loathe bees!!! i understand their importance and fear their rumored extinction... but they make me curl up into a little ball and screech like a baby!!! this makes the trips to the nurseries difficult :{
7) i love off roading!!! exploring new desert treasures is my Favorite thing to do!!! until the bees show up of corse...
8) i very much dislike technology!! computers and cell phones annoy and scare me!! its taken a Very long time for me to become comfortable with a digital camera... see my problem is this... everything i touch stops working!!!! ive been thru many iphones and blackberries that work fine till i touch them (and no im not just cramming my lady fingers into all the buttons out of frustration as my husband accuses me of) they just stop working... then they magically work just fine in the hands of another... im beginning to believe that i vibrate on a frequency that pisses off ALL tecnological things!!!
9) my favorite flicks are 'the secret' and 'what the bleep do we know'... i believe in metaphysics and quantomphysics AND God... no God in particular... All of them!! i believe in everything and everyone!
10) my goal in life is to inspire my children to want to grow up and change the world! my belief is that if atleast 1 of my 3 inspires 1 other person and they go on to do the same.. then my job will have been done... i believe thats why were here ;) all the great avatars of the world were inspired by someone that was inspired by someone... and on and on it goes... we are all a piece of that timeline... we just need to open our eyes and become active participants ;)

i realized that besides the two not-so-clear pictures of me on here, i'm basically anonymous. and i don't like that! i want you guys to feel like you at least kind of know me. so here are 10 facts!
and if i tagged you, you don't need to do this too.. i just feel like you guys are the ones i've talked to the most, so i want to introduce myself to you. :)
1. I love scarves. The one I'm wearing in the picture is one of my favorites. I made my first legit cable-knit scarf this winter.. I kinda feel like a boss. Hahahha not really. But i still like it.
2. I love feeling sore after working out. I had surgery on my hip in February, so I haven't been able to do anything to workout besides walk. But now I'm feeling better, so my roommates and I decided to start a new workout - 150 crunches, 50 push-ups, planks, and wall-sits. Needless to say, I'm feeling pretty sore :)
3. Speaking of roommates, I live in a suite with 5 other girls. And all of us share one bathroom.
4. I work in a library. I love it.
5. I'm really, really driven to keep a good GPA. I stress myself out about those dumb numbers too often.
6. I don't like taking pictures of myself. But when I do (like today), I don't take serious, deep pictures. I like taking pictures of things that are real. And the real thing about me is that I'm a ridiculously happy, bubbly person. I want that to show in pictures of myself.
7. I'm pretty sure I've met the boy I want to marry.
8. My favorite fruits are pineapples, red grapes, strawberries, and granny smith apples.
9. My family means the world to me. The amount of support they give for me is ridiculous. To any of you who see this, always know that I love you :)
10. I know I've already explained the situation about my dad here, but just to add on... I've lost a whole ton of people in my life. I'm not trying to get you to feel bad for me, that's absolutely not the point. I just mention it because it's made me who I am today. It's made me appreciate the people who come into my life so much more. It's made me appreciate life more. Never, ever take anything for granted. Carpe diem, live laugh & love, however you wanna say it! Just follow it. Because life is too short. Enjoy it :)

I’m not very good at putting pressure on folks by tagging them to do the same, So, PLEASE if you'd like to play, tag yourself and share. I love reading the fun facts everyone else posts!!. (and yes, I realize this makes 2 selfies in one day, but just indulge me ;-)
1. Yo hablo espanol. .
2. I adore music of all types ...well, almost all types . I have been into music since I was a small child. Learned to play piano by ear, starting at 4 years old and it just went of from there. I play flute, piccolo, saxaphone , oboe, drums, and a few other instruments. I also sing. At one time in a group, but now mostly in my car on my long ass drive home! I think that’s partly why the hour long drive doesn’t really bother me all that much.
3. I have spent the last 15 years working in Social Services, and the lessons it has taught me have been varied and strong. It can destroy, restore or make you question your faith in humanity….. All in the same day. Repeatedly in the same day.
4. I have no children of my own. Not because I never wanted them, but I wasn’t able to have them. I do have a step-son who is now in College (that’s STILL hard to say. College)
5. I had never taken a self portrait until about 3 years ago. I know I should say I hate them and I’m uncomfortable with them, but I’m not. I’m uncomfortable and always anxious about how they might be perceived, but considering I didn’t allow photographs to be taken of me for about 15 years, I’m surprisingly ok with them. I feel like I learn something from every one of them, sometimes its about the photography, sometimes it's about myself.
6. I drift over the rumble strip on the highway on purpose whenever I can, because I like the sound and the vibration. It makes me smile & I would ride it the whole way home if I could. (but no, I don’t…. )
7. I went from being unable to walk a flight of stairs 3 years ago to being able to complete a 5K. Don’t know that I’ll ever do a full or even half marathon, but it felt like I climbed Kilimanjaro as far as I’m concerned!! :-D
8. I am an Air Force brat. I almost went into the Air Force myself at 18. My family is made up of servicemen & women and I have an intense respect for our armed forces. I have photographs of quite a few great uncles and grandparents in uniform all the way back to the 1800’s that I absolutely cherish.
9. I adore old movies, the 30’s and 40’s are my favorite, but I also love the campy, glamorous dames in the 50’s movies as well. My favorite oldies are The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind and Wuthering Heights. Love em’!! (and anything with Bette Davis, Joan Crawford or Lauren Bacall… I’m immediately enthralled)
10. I’m a nerd and I almost always tear up when the National Anthem is sung at a sporting event.

I was taaagggeeedd!!! to write another 10 things about myself by her morning song
So, here goes:
1. I LOVE Coldplay, I've seen them four times. Sooooo goooood.
2. I'm a movie freak, I swear I've spent the majority of my life in a movie theatre.
3. I'm afraid I'm never going to realise my dream.
4. I really want a typewriter. I probably won't even use it, but I'd love to have one!
5. I'm attempting to write a novel, although, I'm 14 chapters in and I want to rip it all to pieces and burn it.
6. Mac lover yet I do not own one, sigh.
7. I'm afraid to grow up.
8. I have this weird fear of time, I hate the thought of it passing and I can't do anything about it. It freaks me out that whatever happens in a second is set in concrete and gone forever...eghh, I'm getting shivers now.
9. I have a deep craving right now for chocolate covered raisins...
10. ...and I'm dying for a cigarette.

So here it is, my ten facts attached with my shitty SP (but that's all I got over the weekend!!! A SP in a grungy gas station restroom with florescent lights! I wanted to see how the florescent lights were captured by cam, and well is now my SP, because I am so uncreative or coward to post a "real" SP of myself)
1- I smoke. I hate it but I do. It slows me down in some aspects of my life, but I'm also not ready to give it up & lose the people I love because I'd become the biggest bitch in the world if I quit. What else do you do on a road trip anyway if you don't smoke???
2- I obsessively brush my teeth for about 15 minutes in the morning. I do one round of about 10 minutes, walking around the house, usually not dressed yet, and go back for another round of about 5 minutes. I've also recently purchased a bottle of Scope in which I never used before... this is now a new factor enabling my OCD! I try and brush lightly not to rip my gums apart, but it is hard!!!
3- I get angry & swear at objects. Like the toaster for not tossting fast enough, or my car door in which the hinge is broken & does not stay open, or a wall that "I" bump into, of coarse, it's the walls fault.
4- I NEVER return my messages, (possibly why Ben never leaves me voicemails!), especially ar work. I've been warmed, but I think they've come to terms that I will never change.
5- Ben and I never fight, (WOW... isn't that amazing!).
6- I always mispell "congratulations" and "basically"... ALWAYS, even though I know how they are spelt.
7- My eyes twitch when I wash the dishes. It's weird. I don't know why. The faster I wash the dishes, the faster my eyes twitch / blink.
8- I am somewhat prejudice. As far as I am concerned... stereotypes have become for a reason. It's a bad fact / characteristic, but it's true & I hate to admit it, but there it is
9- I was a very angry teen & used to self mutilate myself, today I pick my scabs until they become 3 times their size, a mosquito bite can become a warning for amputation once I am done with it, (ok, somewhere in here I should've make a fact that I exaggerate quite some, but I think that is pretty obvious).
10- I hate wearing lipstick. I hate the way it feels & tastes. I feel like it actually gives me bad breath & what wuld be the use of brushing my teeth for half of my morning rituals if I am just to put something on my lips to give me bad breath?
Can I add one more fact... please... because I am so pissed at my fucken car right now (example of being angry & swearing at objects)... I left at lunch and while turning in a curb, bringing my wheels back, there was a lot of resistance... the resistance continued & had to cease driving it... luckily there was a garage of very miserable mechanics just across the street. I decided it was best to pull my car in & leave it there in case it costs me another $20 000 to tow it back if I break down with my car... like a wheel flying by me. So, the 11th fact is that I've put at least $3500 in the past 3yrs on this FUCKEN SHITBOX (Saturn SL2 "98)... but who the fuck am I to complain...... my Dad bought it for me... what a stupid princess eh. Bitchin' about a car I didn't even pay for... I'm fed up of changing suspension parts on this stupid fucken car.
Update on the stupid fucken car: My tensioner to my alternator strap was "stuck", (whaaaat), they've "unstuck" it and now it's fine!?!?! I guess seeing as though the car did not have enough juice because the alternator strap had resistnce in it, possibly, my power steering created a resistence while the tensioner was stuck. Whatever, this car will be the death of me... literally. Start driving with a fucken helmet!

Can't decide whether I like this or not...I feel so indecisive today. Should I keep it or not?]
The thought came to me when I was having a discussion with someone about reality TV. My point is that even reality TV isn't reality. Everything we see is controlled and manipulated by producers and editors to make us think what they want us to think. It's actually quite scary that people allow themselves to be controlled by the media.
I'm sorry for the crapness of this, I feel like I've waved goodbye to my creativity. I'm in a total rut at the minute.

1. I melt ice cream in the microwave because I don't like the texture when it's still frozen, it creeps me out. My mum thinks I'm insane.
2. I have a major phobia of birds, or more specifically birds that fly, I'm scared they flap up in my face and I'll always walk the long way around the town center to avoid the birds. Or if my friends are there they become my human bird shield :P
3. I love fashion but not in the conventional sense. I hate trends and instead prefer to dress like a slightly more flowery version of an extra from an 80's tv show. I love bright colours and have to remind myself not to wear them all at once.
4. My main career goal is to become a psychologist. I'm fascinated by how peoples minds work and my friends and family have to tell me on a regular basis to 'get out of their heads' haha.
5. I talk FAR too much. Flickr photo descriptions are more like essays on my stream. Yeah...sorry about that haha
6. I get obsessed over things easily. Things such as David Bowie, Johnny Depp, Harry Potter, Gossip Girl, Fight Club, Marilyn Monroe, converse, ham and cheese toasties and tea are amongst my obsessions.
7. Oh and while we're talking about tea, tea can kick coffees arse ANY day of the week ;) I hate the smell of coffee.
8. I got a flickr because I felt bad about seeing peoples amazing pictures but not commenting on them and telling them how good they were and to make sure people didn't think I was a stalker because I had no pictures I uploaded some things I already had stored on my computer. I got some great feedback, got inspired and the rest, as they say, is history :)
9. My best friend is also called Katie. She's as geeky about astronomy and physics as I am about my tripod and photography so we make a good pair, we're the kind of friends who like to make people squirm for our own amusement. She's agreed to be in some pictures when we get round to it, so she's pretty much amazing haha

1. I love stop motionssss.
2. Cheer camp is on Tuesday, I'm sorta excited but then not really.
3. I get my braces off on August 9th, the day before school (and senior year) starts. Totally stoked.
4. I made the best damn veggie burger ever today. Oh my God. haha.
5. I'm starting to really hate the taste of meat, hence my veggie burger today.
6. I used a roll of film today, and took night exposure pictures with sparklers. hopefully they're good.
7. Justin put a sparkler under his face today, and got burned. ahahahaha.
8. I sat on the roof of a barn and watched fireworks under the stars tonight, it was amazing.
9. Then later, me and my friend Christa had a conversation about shaving our lady parts, and we were both laughing so hard we were crying. I couldn't breathe, and Christa couldn't stop crying.
10. And theennnn, I tripped in her hallway while eating an olive, and totally choked on said olive. then couldn't stop laughing and coughing. All in all, a pretty successful Fourth of July.
I stopped along the road on my way home for the last time. Shutting off the engine on that quiet country road, all was calm. Off in the distance I could hear a beautiful and distinctive cry. I looked up just in time to see the Sandhill Cranes leaving the field where they spent the day feeding. Perhaps they were going home too.

1. I am at my grandmother's house right now. The house I grew up in from age 2 to 22.
2. The house was built in 1947 and only one family has ever lived here.
3. Even though I moved out almost 20 years ago, I still consider it home.
4. My grandmother recently sold the house. Closing is tomorrow.
5. I can't bear the thought of another family living in our home.
6. I've been helping my grandma pack and finding all my old toys. Today I found my favorite toy airplane. On the bottom it said "from Dad with love, 1974". I cried.
7. The hardest thing was pulling up the track on my train set and packing it away. A flood of memories came back as I carefully took each car down off the shelf. I don't have room to set it up in my small apartment, but how can I part with it?
8. It is so sad knowing that I'll be leaving in a few days for the last time.
9. I love my grandma very much and she'll be well taken care of. I just hope she'll be happy.
10. Almost the whole family is mad at me. They think I'm being immature and need to just "get over it" and "move on". That lack of support just makes it even harder for me.
Since I was tagged by Kelly I’ll give you 10 facts about me…
1. I’m Gwen, 26 years old, although I always have to think about my age when asked, I always wanted to be 25 and that wasn’t so special so I stopped counting there.
2. I studied Psychology and got my Bachelor degree in applied psychology in 2004.
3. I live with my Border Collie (Indi) two piggy’s (Knabbel & Babbel) and 6 chickens we don’t named. Oh yeah, and Tom… I’m not married to him but it sure feels that way after almost 9 years. (And that’s a good thing) We didn’t get married because we wanted to invest our money in a house we own.
4. Many of my contacts are all-round animalpeople…. So this might come as a shock to those… but I’m a dogperson. I really don’t feel any nice and warm fuzzy feelings towards cats. Even more, I don’t like cats and cats don’t like me. We get a lot of our neighbors cats that visit our backyard to use it as their toilet or just shred our garbage bags to peaces… I unleash Indi on them… and off they are!
5. To those I didn’t shock away with fact number 4... I’m not scared of spiders! (really proud of that, I do not need a man to kill them for me… I’ll do it all myself) But since everyone must have something like that I am terrified of mice. (needless to say, I mean mice, rats and everything that resembles them) I’ll always jump up on a table, chair, tree… whatever. And scream like someone is running at me with an ax. And yes my rational mind does know that they are more scared of me, but still… I won’t come down until someone has checked the perimeter.
6. My friends say I’m always in a good mood, and most of the time they are right. I live by the words always look on the bride side of life. And will try to be positive at all time.
7. I have an opinion about everything (and am not afraid to say so). Very annoying to some (Yes I know). I’ll always be honest though, and sometimes I can even be diplomatic. But if you’re trying to convince me my opinion isn’t the right one, make sure you can give me reasonable arguments to it. Suborn? No, not me ;-)
8. I love traveling, meeting new people, other cultures, did a lot of traveling when I was younger, less now (because of the money that goes into renovating the house). I’ve been to lots of places my favorites must be Turkey & Italy.
9. One of the reasons Italy is on that list of favorite places is their pasta… I’m able to eat pasta as breakfast, lunch & dinner. All shapes, with different sauces, even just with a nice olive oil. I have my own Italian pasta maker (just don’t use it that much anymore).
10. I love movies and am crazy about a good horror/thriller, preferably with a good serial killer in them (I love the series of dexter!). I love movies that give me a scare… If after a movie I can’t go to bed without turning on all the lights and checking under the bed, it was a good movie!

1. This is sort of how I'm doing my makeup for Iago when we do Aladdin...but I don't have the winged eyeliner, pink cheeks, red lips, or mascara on in the picture :)

4. My favorite part of grocery shopping is walking down the laundry detergent aisle. it always smells so nice.

1. My name is Ariel, and I am only 5'1". I have lived in L.A. my whole life. I am Salvadorean, Mexican, and Spanish. Sadly though I do not speak much Spanish.
2. I am terrified of the dark. It makes me very uncomfortable, and I just hate it.
3. I took speech lessons for all of elementary school. I still have trouble saying a lot of words, and I hate it when people point out my "accent".
4. I read something written by Ernest Hemingway everyday. Mostly his personal letters. I love his work, so incredibly much. I would have loved to have met him.
5. I have a large "personal bubble". I don't like people I'm not comfortable with getting close to me. And I especially don't like people touching me. I find touch, and the feelings of things extremely important. And I will swat your hand away if you come near putting on it my waist. I believe that only one person's hand belongs there, and no one else's feels right in that spot. I don't know how to explain it, but it feels like everything feels enhanced to me. I have only tried telling one person before how this feels to me. And so far, the best feeling is holding that person's hand.
6. I call soft things "touchy", and find them very comforting.
7. I am eighteen and my birthday is on December 4th. I attend a community college, and I am supposed to be a senior in high school. My parents changed my birthday to December 1st so that I could go to school early. I just started telling people my real birthday this year.
8. I have a birthmark on my left cheek. My doctor gave my parent's cream to remove it when I was a baby. But it didn't work. And I always wonder what people think when they see it. Some time, hardly ever, people bring it up and I think "oh, okay, so people do notice it". But most of the time people say nothing. I kinda like it more when they ask.
9. I ramble a lot.
10. I am a pack rat, I keep a lot of things and feel absolutely terrible when I throw some things away. I still have an empty chocolate box from last Valentine's Day that Chris gave me. I intend on keeping it. I also still have many present boxes and bows from him. Keeping all of those too.

03. Dani is my best offline friend. We've known eachother since she was born and she's my photography buddy. She rocks.
04. I am a crazy FRIENDS (tv show) addict. I've seen every episode a million times and I still watch it everyday when it's on TV. Everything in life reminds me of an episode or situation.
05. I absolutely hate picking up the phone. When there's someone else at home, I try my best not to be the one picking up. This one time, I run into the bathroom when it started ringing so I wouldn't have to pick up, and hurt my arm with the door. Karma much?.
06. The Time Traveler's Wife is one of my new favorite books EVER. I jut can't get over it. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've heard it's not as good. Ah well, I still can't wait. Rachel Mcadams is awesome.
07. I'm a little bit addicted to Twitter lately.
08. These days, the music in my celphone is a time machine to the 70's / 80's . I'm going through a phase.
09. I'm currently obsessed with Glee (like most people I know haha) and I kindof have a girl crush on Lea Michele haha. Dani and I watched 5 episodes in a row while we were away. I can not wait til April, it is KILLING me.
10. I'm starting in a new University in March and I'm pretty nervous about it., but also kindof can't wait.

Well i've been kind of faceless lately now haven't I?
Sorry for the later upload, to be honest, I forgot about flickr. =P
I am back at college now, and to be completely honest, driving back today was the first time since i've been at college that i've cried because I didn't want to leave home. I think it's just now hitting me, because i'm getting so into routine and I can't stand routines. Now i'm just ready to leave again. =/
Oh, I was also tagged by Tori, for what i'm assuming is 10 facts, but i'm too lazy to check right now, so for now its going to be 10facts. =]
1) I have not ever liked my teeth. I hated them before braces, during braces, and I like them more now, but I dislike them. ((insert comments about how nice my teeth are NOW. hha just kidding))
2) As mentioned earlier, I'm growing tired of college. I know once I get into classes going more towards my major, or even now at this point just different classes in general, i'm going to like it more again.
3) I need to read this essay and write a paragraph over it, and finish my psychology homework that i've been procrastinating on for ever, and sleep, but instead i'm on here.
4) I have no problem telling you no.
5) I don't get sick easily, I'm more of cough cough sorethroat, but never enough that I can't go o with life.
6) My niece Sophia is my favorite person in the whole world, and she never fails to put a smile on my face, I miss her already.
7) I'm going home in 23days and counting. but only for like a week.
8) I got a fish, not the one that we were fish sitting, but I bought one for myself, and it's a He, and I think I want to name him Boomer. It seemed appropriate considering.
9) I'm waking up at 8:00 tomorrow, and by that I mean that my alarm is going to go off at 8, but I won't get out of bed until 9:00.
10) I really hope I get into the visual communications program here, everyone says its really competitive, which is good, because I love a challenge, I just hope I get in. I cant submit a porfolio until summer though, so it'll have to wait awhile.
11) Turns out it was 15 facts, so I guess I will add a few more.
12) Flowers are my favorite thing to photograph, and sports, but more like baseball and basketball than anything else.
13) My neice got sick this weekend, she got the stomach flu, and gave it to my mom, who gave it to my grandma, and I'm hoping I don't get it. It would be really bad if I did.
14) I really hope these 23 days go by really fast, because I want to peace outta this place already. I hate taking life one day at a time.
15) I'm going to pretend to do homework now.

1) I was on the phone until like 5 this morning.
2) I kind of miss not wearing my extensions, but it's too much of a hassle and I'm just too lazy to bother.
3) I could tell a stranger or someone I've never met, exactly how I'm feeling, but I won't tell my best friend. Something like that has happened recently, no big deal.
4) I painted that shirt, it says "nightmare anesthetic photography" on the front.
5) I'll be chilling at warped tour dallas alone :(
6) I hate my hands, people even point out that they're small ._.
7) sometimes I hate my laugh/giggle, other times I like it. It amuses people.

8. I have bouts of insomnia that range from a few days to a week.
9. I can't work without music playing. I usually tune it out or sing/hum along when I'm doing my homework or writing a paper, but it's gotta be on.
10. I once wanted to be a pediatrician. I'm currently an IT major. Funny how things change.
Spent the entire day packing (and watching HIMYM ♥). Leaving for Rochester tomorrow! I can't believe my vacation is over. But I'm kind of excited to go back too. There are some people I haven't seen in nearly a year. We'll see how it goes, haha.

So here I am (on the left!) with my husband Andy on a steamer on Lake Geneva when our ceilidh band had a booking to play for a birthday party about an hour out of the city this July when Summer felt like a real possibility! Wish we could get more gigs in such beautiful places!
So.....ten things then:
1. I've just got back from Co Clare, Ireland - the first trip to Ireland for 20 years though I used to visit Co Cork regularly as this is the place of my grandfather's birth and where I still have relatives today. We had a great time - and had a couple of good sessions (music), time on the Cliffs of Moher; walks and scrambles on the Burren, and a superb big family party to celebrate a golden wedding. Sláinte!
2. My grandmother who sung around the house all her life started to sing publicly aged 68 and won the all Ireland over-60s singing contest when she was 70-something
3. I've been friends with my husband since 1981, but it took a couple of decades for us to get together and we got round to getting married in 2005!
4.I've lived in Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Lancaster - I'm a committed Northerner!
5. One of my favourite books is The Poisonwood Bible (Barbara Kingsolver) - and always urge people to read it, as well as promoting the fascinating, gripping and modernly gothic novels of Lesley Glaister (Especially "Sheer Blue Bliss").
6. I am possibly the world's most skilled procrastinator and the coming of Flickr and other internet favourites has taken me to a new level....
7. I LOVE to sing.
8. My best guitar was made by a man whose redundancy " payment" from a famous hand-built guitar company was some wood and I was lucky enough to be at college with his wife; I got in quick and got a bargain and a beauty - and no. 10 of all the guitars he's made since then (1981).
9. I'm a very untidy person who yearns to let the organised minimalist inside her to get out.....but just can't seem to part with things that "might come in useful somethime"
10. I couldn't possibly live without listening to Radio 4 - do you know there are places in the UK where they can't receive it? Appalling - I think they should receive counselling, or a grant to move to somewhere were it can reach clearly and loudly.
