NS #1080, the Delaware and Hudson heritage unit, travels past the former D&H Searchlight signals at the north end of Taylor yard in some nice morning light. This is its first time traveling the former D&H line since its repaint.

NS 257 exits the active Spruce Creek tunnel with Norfolk Southern’s Delaware & Hudson heritage SD70ACe #1080 leading the way.

The final image from my trip to Dovercourt back in the summer and my longest single frame exposure to date at 18 minutes. Not that it really needed 18 minutes but it was a beautiful morning, the coffee was good and I was on a beach. If there had been a bar, I almost certainly would have gone for a 30 minute shot.

Technical: Nikon D850, Nikkor 70-200mm f/4 @200mm, f/11, 1080 seconds. 15 stop ND grad with 0.9 medium grad to balance the sky. Gitzo GT something or other tripod with FLM ballhead. Cable release.

NS #1080 leads 955 south over the Nicholson Bridge on their way back to Altoona with a deadhead of OCS cars coming back from the Capital Region Toys for Tots event.
