From around the corner. Nothing is more welcome than being greeted by new Camella flowers this time of year. For my "One of a kind" flower images project. Number 108 :-)

Camellia bushes can live up to 100 to 200 years, although the oldest living camellia, planted in 1347, can be found in China's Panlong Monastery. Camellias have dark shiny green leaves that stay evergreen, making it a perfect partner for Hydrangea, which are nothing but brown sticks in winter.

Die letzten Jahre von DB Regio brachten noch einmal interessante Fahrzeugeinsätze auf der Frankenbahn. Unter anderem kamen dort Züge aus 112ern und den alten Doppelstockwagen aus der DDR zum Einsatz. Zwar kannte man diese in Baden-Württemberg schon aus dem Höllental, aber nicht als typenreinen Zug. Für die Fahrgäste meiner Meinung nach eine Zumutung und auch nicht unbedingt schön, aber als reinen DR-Zug fand die ich die Zugzusammenstellung dann fürs Foto doch ganz geil. So konnte die Werbelok 112 108 im Sommer 2018 in den Besigheimer Weinbergen fotografiert werden.

Mit dem eingebrochenen Flugverkehr fahren logischerweise auch nicht viele Kerosinzüge nach Glattbrugg. Am Leerzug 69628 von Glattbrugg nach Basel kam am 24.02.2021 die Werbelok 189 108 mit seitlichem Spruch «Alpäzähmer» zum Einsatz, welche ihre Last über das Furttal beförderte und bei Würenlos fotografiert werden konnte.

Always a must-do when visiting Macclesfield, climbing the 108 steps from the train station to the town centre.

I do wonder about a wider version of this (and of a lot of my town photos in general) but fundamentally I like shooting at 50 mm. Maybe I'll take a 35 mm out one day.
