This image from the Hubble Space Telescope displays spiral galaxy NGC 105, which lies 215 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces. NGC 105 appears to be plunging edge-on into a collision with a neighbouring galaxy, but this is just the result of the chance alignment of the two objects in the night sky. NGC 105’s elongated neighbor is actually far more distant and remains relatively unknown to astronomers. These misleading conjunctions occur frequently in astronomy, a great example being NGC 3314: theastroenthusiast.com/ngc-3314-from-hubble/

A rather dishevelled looking Cravens class 105 dmu, forming the 10.40 Manchester Victoria to Rochdale via Oldham Mumps arrives at Werneth on 10/4/1976. The original line from Middleton Junction carried straight on along the space to the right beyond the Featherstall road bridge, and down the famous 1:27 incline. The storage yard to the right was originally a goods yard, full of sidings. Nowadays the Metrolink trams come under the bridge and make a sharp left turn, over what used, many years ago, the goods yards.
Isolated and lonely.

Blekinge, Sweden.
The SAAB 105 was developed as a private venture, and given the designation SK60 by the Swedish Air Force. First flight was on 29th June 1963, and the plane is still in service to this day.
At one stage SAAB intended to produce a 4 or 5 seat business jet version, but that plan failed to get off the ground, so to speak.
