SM42-1031 z pociągiem 33290 relacji Nowy Sącz - Chabówka rusza bezwolnie z bardzo klimatycznej stacji Mszana Dolna i kieruje się do Rabki Zdrój, będącą ostatnią stacją przed celem podróży.
Cały pociąg złożony jest z historycznego taboru, a sama podróż odbywa się po malowniczym fragmencie Galicyjskiej Kolei Transwersalnej, który niebawem przejdzie istną metamorfozę i straci urok "drewnianej" kolei. O samej historii linii z Nowego Sącza do Chabówki można by pisać wiele, natomiast warto zwrócić uwagę na jej aspekt wizualny, który staje się coraz bardziej unikalny w dobie powszechnych rewitalizacji i modernizacji linii kolejowych na sieci PKP PLK. Krętemu i zarośniętemu torowisku towarzyszy niska prędkość drogowa, co stanowi wyzwanie dla drużyny pociągowej. Cała linia jest okraszona klimatycznymi przejazdami kolejowo-drogowymi urozmaiconymi m.in. zabytkowymi budkami dróżnika z XIX wieku, peronami ziemnymi przywołującymi wspomnienia, kiedy to wymiana pasażerów nie należała do łatwych, starymi urządzeniami sterowania ruchem kolejowym oraz dróżnikami przejazdowymi w mundurze kolejowym nadającymi sygnał D8, co niesamowicie oddaje obraz starej kolei - obrazu, który sukcesywnie przechodzi do historii.
Kto jeszcze nie miał okazji, temu polecam poświęcić jeden dzień i wykonać parę udanych fotografii na tym niezwykle uroczym terenie, który niebawem zmieni się nie do poznania.
