A pair of INRD SD9043MAC's have completed loading at Bear Run and turn to exit the loop on their way toward the powerplant at Merom on the afternoon of Oct. 22, 2020. Their trip would not be long through, as the trailing motor would shut down before they reached the top of the hill at Dugger, and would not move to the powerplant until after dark.
The massive drag line in the background, after sitting dormant and rusting away for years, began being dismantled and scrapped this month.
A single SD40-2 splits through the middle of the silo complex at Plainville, IN, on Oct. 22, 2020. I believe this was traffic from Indianapolis and from the INRD interchange at Switz City heading to the yard at Petersburg.
Am 28. März 2024 wurden sieben neue Smartron-Lokomotiven zu ihren Kunden in Bulgarien und Rumänien überführt. Zuglok war 111 210 des Unternehmens Railadventure, das auf Überführungsfahrten spezialisiert ist. In München Trudering konnte die eindrucksvolle Lokschlange fotografiert werden.

Zum 3. Eisenbahnfest des Bayerischen Eisenbahnmuseums in Nördlingen wurden nicht nur Dampflokomotiven gezeigt. Auf den Bahnhofsgleisen waren u.a. 110 228 der DBK bzw. GfE, 194 192 und 139 262 der BayernBahn ausgestellt. Mit einigen historischen Wagen und den noch vorhandenen Formsignalen entstand eine schöne Atmosphäre der Bundesbahnzeit, von der auch die modernisierten Bahnsteige kaum ablenken konnten.
Hinter der 139 262 verbirgt sich die als E10 262 abgelieferte Ellok, die 1994 mit Drehgestellen aus einer Lok der Baureihe 140 zur Güterzuglok 139 262 wurde. Da sie sonst kaum Veränderungen erfahren hat, wurde sie wieder blau lackiert und als 110 262 beschriftet.
