I'm quite tempted to do another Handmade Props week, the one I did way back in March was a lot of fun and I loved creating random props from cardboard and paper, I almost considered doing a whole handmade props month in December but quickly realized that it would be crazy to try and do 31 props!

Now off to enjoy a lazy Sunday :)

Ever wondered what your favourite Disney characters would be doing in quarantine? Seeing as though it’s Halloween, I thought it’d be a fitting time to share Cruella! I imagine her disobeying every rule possible and still haunting neighbourhoods filled with the sweetest puppies ever. Thanks to my girl Lucy for being the perfect model for this shot! She just turned 6 so go and give her some love! I went for an animation type edit this time, which was fun! 🐾

I hope this series brings you a little bit of joy because just know wherever you are, we are truly ALL in this together... even our favourite Disney characters are with us in spirit ♥️

I've been collecting the Disney blind bag Tsum Tsums a little here and there over time and finally have them all. This is series 1 and 2 together. I hope they come out with series 3 soon. They're so much fun!

From the very beginning, i've always made a statement....I'm Cruella born brilliant, born bad and a little bit mad ❤

JFDI Friday - Your best shot

I don't know if I'm ever happy with anything I do, but aside from a few nit picks (okay I could easily shred it) I'm pretty pleased with the way this one turned out, so I'm playing it for JFDI Friday. :)

I have to go shower the white spray out of my hair now. I may not be back for a long, long time.

It's already day 20 of the 33 Days of Halloween! We're Here is playing silly while sober today and you can't prove that I'm not.

Hanging with Pickle Rick and Cruella.

Roger Radcliffe: Hey all! Has anyone seen our dogs??

What is this...? The Playbill says that some kind of cooking show is on next...

Anita Radcliffe: We're not part of the show! Our doggies are lost and we're trying to find them.

Oh no!

We haven't seen them in here...

Snoopy should be backstage! He might know!

Roger: We asked Snoopy. He said, "Wawawa waaawawa wa."

laughter

Snoopy would say that!

He's so clever!

What do your doggies look like?

Anita: They're Dalmations! There are 101 of them.

So, today's finds were few and fun! I got a 101 Dalmations figure, a Hula Dancing Lilo bobble figure from Lilo and Stitch, a jar full of BB gun pellets/bullets and a doll scale gun!

My visit home to Iowa was far too short. I've only seen my niece Alaina a handful of times since she's been born, so it's like meeting a new person each time. This time, though, she had no trouble remembering my that my name was "Aunt Danielle" (after the initial introduction). We did have to work on the basics, though... after she protested because I had the camera pointed at her, I had to explain that holding cameras and pointing them at people was just something her Aunt Danielle did and that I couldn't stop. She seemed more accepting after that... as though she respected it as a personal problem. I even let her take an image using the Hasselblad (don't worry, it was on a tripod).

And the sweetest moment was my last night there. I had fallen asleep on the couch, which is right beside her bedroom downstairs. She woke up screaming and crying, and I was able to make it to her room first. She didn't question my role, just wrapped her arms around me and said she had had a bad dream and then in another minute she was falling back into the covers, already asleep again.

She probably won't remember that when she's older, but I always will.

10/52: Childhood

I've quite enjoyed going back through some of my childhood memories for this week's theme. It had me going back to some of the parks where I used to play and digging out some of my old toys that we hadn't thrown out. While rummaging in the loft (or attic) this evening I found the suitcase we use to store all our old videos and thought this might make a good photo...these are some of the videos I grew up with and watched over and over again...I think they're all Disney! Funny how some kids will grow up today and not know what video tapes are! I was a '90's child, but the suitcase here might be making me look a bit older...in fact my mum remembers this suitcase from when she was young, and it was considered her dad's old suitcase back then, so it's definately an oldie!

No matter how exhausted I was from the day before, I was always the first one up and ready to go. I guess it was the excitement of being in the Disney parks! Getting up so early gave me some time to get out and wander around the grounds for a little while before having breakfast. I really enjoyed my daily morning walk around the our resort. Since it was so early in the morning, I had the whole place to myself! The lighting was great for pictures too!

So, today I found a Disney Store Pocahontas doll (which I'm not sure why I bought, since I'm not a fan of large headed Disney dolls), a Cleo de Nile doll (missing her arms) and a Liv doll. I plan to transplant Cleo's head on the Liv body for a hybrid doll! Also found was a doll scale Olaf (!!!)

Other finds were a gumball machine toy, a chair, a Dalmation pup and a seriously cool neckpiece!

Uh oh! This Dalmation (Of the 101 variety.) was following Mickey & Minnie,* but then remembered he didn't know how to drive!

He has covered his eyes and hoped for the best.

If 'the best' means being far off the roads in the middle of nowhere, he has succeeded!

Happy 🍔🍟 Thursday!
