this is my sister raven
today was one of those days where you are in the car and look to your right and the west maui mountains and cane field look majestic-but you don't have your camera and you surely can't have your dad pull over on the side of the rode for a photo
and then you take photos of your sister and you are both sunburned and uninspired and then magically while you are going through the photos late at night, you actually find something you really like. :)
today i read a lot of the Princess Bride, and went out in the sun some more. which was probably a bad idea. but i love the sun. i want to write poetry to it.

Another one from this weekend! The lights below are actually from the marina/restaurant on the lake. It looked SO pretty with the reflection from the water. Next time I need to remember to bring a tripod.
it took me so long to choose, but I finally decided on color. black and white is in comments. still hard to say which I prefer!
I love this new shirt :) it's possibly the most comfortable ever. also. I love coffee.
After a week of beautiful, sunny weather, we pulled into New York Harbor and got our share of fog and rain.
And Lightroom came out with the Dehaze feature, just in time!
I'd actually love to do fashion photography. not that I'm really....that...high fashion here, but you know.
also, my legs are totally mauled by mosquitoes. MAULED. you can't really tell here.

this past week has been really rough. sorry for the pink theme with these past two. haha
also, i didn't edit this photography at all.. (besides the watermark) which, being digital, was nice to be able to do.
happy to announce my first project since I finished my 365 - 100 days of summer! :) I can't wait to get back into the swing of things.
this was a bit of a frustrating shoot, especially since my tripod got kinda messed up (false alarm, apparently I just tightening it alot on accident), but at least I got a couple of good results.
I've had this shirt ever since I was little, but it has much more meaning to me now.
this is something that I firmly believe.
I really like this. It reminds me a bit of Evan Walsh's work, one of my favorite photographers :)

This morning my grandma's alarm didn't go off so we woke up late for church. Luckily, we made it on time. After church we went to eat out with my cousins Krissy and Meg. Then me and Kriss went to edit and put together her save the date photo. She loves editing photos just as much as I do! We were getting overly excited. :D

Aaron and I had a little photoshoot today. Obviously it had its ghetto moments. Pleaaaase be on the lookout for a photo or two from him, as I just saw his on facebook and well poop, they were just good.
Note: the Earth thing was inspired by a photo I saw once but I couldn't tell you who it was by.

you know, today's photoshoot was one of the most frustrating ever. the bugs wouldn't quit swarming around me -___- and it seemed like nothing I took was turning out.
but you know, I like this...and I like how happy it is despite the way I was feeling during the shoot lol.
otherwise, my day mostly consisted of video games. me and william just did a round of super smash bros melee on stock 99 hahaha
Day thirty-two.
Woah, woah, woah. 32 days? It feels like I just started this yesterday. It's been exactly one month today. May 19 to June 19.
Anywho, it's been stormy here all day. Woke up, had breakfast with my family for father's day, decided not to go to the boat because of the bad weather...but my parents went anyway. So it's just been me and my sisters at home all day. Earlier I got hungry (and it was happy hour at sonic) so I went to get some tots while Kate and Doodle had a milkshake.
Tomorrow I shall tan.
*and this is just a random watercolor I decided to do because I couldn't do anything creative outside. ;)

Didn't turn out as planned, but I like it. Splash photos never fail. I haven't shot with my 50mm in a while... I forgot how much I love it. :D
Oh and hey guys, I have 10 more days of this project left.
here's Matthew. I don't think I've ever had a picture of him on here before. he's a good pal. he's real into movies and film making and directing and things of the sort. his outfit was pretty fly but all you can see is the owl t-shirt oh well.
in other news, aaron and I are getting married. you can decide for youself if you want to believe that.
