100 days, 100 photos, 100 different outfits that consisted of: 46 garments, 2 belts, 4 hats, 4 necklaces, 3 purses, 8 pairs of shoes (gave one to Grandsweetie #3), and also a kitty, a doll and a sock monkey. On 48 of those days I also sewed, crocheted or knitted something, many of the things were for Jeanea.
I got behind a couple of times in posting my photos, but I did manage to take one each day of the challenge.

who are very happy to stop "hanging around" for a bit. They are connected by a string and usually hang from the jewelry organizer behind the basket. I'm still not sure what country they came from. Their eBay auction said Romania.

I worked on a sleeveless top pattern today. This one isn't quite right, but it works as a wearable muslin.

Day 5/100
But I had already done it. Round two of this year's lettuces include a mesclun mix and another regular mix. Yum! The salads are made more special for being eaten from my grandma's Boltalite salad bowl. I've been eating from these most of my life. For years I thought they were wood.
The radishes have been great this year. We've had just the right amount ever since 4/10. We discovered a new variety this year, German Giants. They are awesome, highly recommend them. Our other favorite is French Breakfast radish.

Actually, I also picked enough long beans later in the day to have for supper. We ate most of this for lunch or dinner as it's called here in AR. We had kale, zucchini sauted with garlic and a stir fry of green beans, onion, okra, broccoli and banana peppers.

My last #The100DayProject, #100daysofJeanea, was three years ago. I think that I'm about ready to try again. For the last project I picked a doll and
photographed her every day in a different outfit. I made things for her and other dolls on 47 of the 100 days. The other days the photo itself was my creative thing.
This year I'm also picking a doll, but I'm planning to spend fifteen minutes each day making something that would fit into her world. Of course many days I won't have a finished item to share. On those days a photo of the doll may have to suffice. I have lots of ideas for things to work on: clothing, miniatures, other dolls her size, etc... I suspect that many days the fifteen minutes will turn into more. I usually find that getting started at something creative is the hardest part. Once started, I tend to keep working for longer than fifteen minutes. I'm hoping that this project will provide the motivation to get me started every day.

Thanks, Beth, for the pattern. I was pretty sure I was going to go nuts trying to crochet with #8 perle cotton. By the end it seemed fairly normal. I'm sure next time it will be even easier.

Posed by Grandsweetie #2 the dolls are, Grandsweetie's new doll Lily, her doll Mary Clare in the blue dress, behind her Jeanea and to the right Mildred Joy. Grandsweetie drew Mary Clare's face and picked the colors and made the decisions for Lily's. She also turned and stuffed both dolls, and made the decisions regarding Lily's hair which is made from an unraveled sweater sleeve that she and Grandsweetie #3 unraveled. Lily and Mildred Joy share body patterns, but Lily came out much more petite. I think I took bigger seam allowances. Mary Clare and Jeanea share body patterns too.

I looked around for something from my mom to photograph Jeanea with tonight. She wasn't a sewer, but for a few weeks she got into making Barbie clothes by hand. This is one of the shirts she made. She loved to go to yard sales and even had a thrift store for a while. She was always bringing me things she thought I'd like. These two sit in my bathroom window. Jeanea has gotten friendly with them since she often winds up there too.
Jeanea thinks canning 16 quarts of tomatoes was a snap.

Aleah turned out shorter than Jeanea with larger arms at the shoulder even though they are basically the same pattern. I adjusted how I sewed her together a bit. Plus, Grandsweetie #3 drew the face a bit bigger making it necessary for her to have a wider head. i think it makes Leah look younger which is appropriate since Grandsweetie #3 is six.
Jeanea is happy about the difference in arm size since it meant that she got this first turquoise t-shirt. I had to alter the pattern for Aleah.

She has a new arm joint made with a button. Jeanea is a bit jealous of that. Her face, drawn by Grandsweetie #3, required lots of practice and samples of different media. We settled on crayon set with a hot iron after all of the markers kept on bleeding. Grandsweetie #3 decided on the face next to the new doll's hand. She also named the doll Aleah, pronounced A-LEE-a.
