Viadukt Hüttenbachtal:
Das Gerüstpfeilerviadukt liegt in einer Steigung von 3,3 % und einem Gleisbogen mit 350 m Radius. Die Brückenteile wurden in Lauchhammer angefertigt und vor Ort zusammengebaut. Die vier Brückenfelder haben bei einer Gesamtlänge von 100 m eine lichte Weite von 17,5 m. Die Höhe des Viadukts beträgt 18 m.
In den 1920er Jahren wurden die Brückenfelder durch einen Unterzug für eine höhere Achslast ergänzt. In den 1950er Jahren wurden die Fundamente erneuert, 1990 und 2004 erfolgte jeweils eine grundlegende Sanierung.

This is the colour version of the previous image.
The only PP this has received is levels adjustment on the left hand side where the sky had just started to blow out and white balance correction using the picker tool on the galvanized ladder leading to the water. No sharpening or noise reduction. Resized to 2048px.
Note: The vignetting that can be observed in the top corners is due to the lens being shifted
Great Lakes Locomotive's newest acquisition is former DRSX NW2 #1005. This former Texas & Pacific unit was for years the plant switcher at Kellogg's cereal plant in Battle Creek. Last year it was retired and sold to a nearby scrapper to be cut up. Great Lakes Locomotive stepped in and saved the engine from scrap. The unit was found to be in great shape and last week was fired up and made running again after a few days of work. Soon it will leave the scrap yard!
