Last August I visited the museum in the former Peenemünde power plant. There are a lot of interesting subjects to photograph. This stairwell in the administration building is one of them.

KT4D 1286 auf der Linie 1 nach Sudenburg, kurz vor dem Einbiegen in die Lübecker Straße mit der folgenden Haltestelle Klosterwuhne.
Bekanntlich kam es nach dem offiziellen Tatra-Abschied nicht nur bei den T6 zu einer Karriereverlängerung bis 2024, zusätzlich wurden aus Berlin sogar noch acht modernisierte KT4D übernommen, um die ärgsten Fahrzeugengpässe zu stopfen. In der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2020 in Betrieb genommen, kamen die KT4D zunächst in der Regel, wie aus Berlin gewohnt, in Doppeltraktion zum Einsatz.
Seit einiger Zeit, spätestens mit der Abstellung der letzten T6-Züge, ist die Fahrzeugdecke nun aber erneut so dünn, dass die KT4D in der Regel nur noch als Einzelfahrzeuge zum Einsatz kommen. Statt vier Traktionen, konnte man so bis zu acht Fahrzeuge auf Linie schicken. Als potenziell hochflurig ausgewiesene Kurse, gab es Ende 2024 von Montag bis Freitag auf den Linien 1, 3, 4 und 10, wobei es auf der Linie 1 zwei Kurse, auf der Linie 3 ein Kurs, auf der Linie 5 zwei Kurse und auf der Linie 10 bis zu drei Kurse waren. Entsprechend werden nie alle der Kurse tatsächlich mit KT4D gefahren, einer der drei Kurse der Linie 10 war gar als optional bei ausreichender Fahrzeugverfügbarkeit gekennzeichnet.
Daneben gibt es natürlich nach wie vor auch die ehemaligen Berliner B6A2, die nun auch schon wieder seit über zehn Jahren hinter den ältesten NGT8D zum Einsatz kommen. Unter der Woche sind die Züge meist konzentriert auf der Linie 9 anzutreffen.
Mit der Inbetriebnahme der neuen NGT10 könnten sich das kurze Kapitel der KT4D in Magdeburg schon im Laufe des neuen Jahres wieder schließen. Auch die Zukunft der B6A2 wird dann wohl nicht mehr allzu lang sein, sodass ein Besuch dieser Fahrzeugtypen nicht mehr auf die lange Bank geschoben werden sollte. Bestimmt wird es auch mich in 2025 wieder nach Magdeburg verschlagen, ob für letzte Aufnahmen der Hochflurfahrzeuge oder für erste Aufnahmen der neuen Niederflurwagen, wird man sehen.

So happy that so many of you are following my stream, but I honestly wish I could attract more views from fellow Brazilians to see these scenes in my last photo series. We need to realize that this depressing situation in such a wealthy country is our joint responsibility and urgently needs to be addressed.
Incredibly, this situation exists only 40 minutes from the financial centre of our country!
As heard in a discussion last week between a mother and Council inspectors, who had told her to pull down the bathroom we were building because this was an illegal settlement and that nobody was supposed to build or even be there (even though the families have existed and suffered there for 13 years without toilets or bathrooms, to the full knowledge of all the past governments) :
“Must it take a Gringo from the other side of the world to come here and help us to build decent bathrooms and toilets for our families? After so many years of empty promises from our politicians, all you people can do is try to stop us!”
Yes! Not only do we need a lot more views from our fellow Brazilians, to wake public opinion in this country, but also some concrete action from them..........
