I spent Thursday night and Friday morning at Collins Lake east of Yuba City, CA (where my training was held). I slept as much as possible in the back of the Jeep and let the cameras do the work.
This is a time-shifted stack of about 29 meteors captured over 4.5 hours. Despite all the hype for this year's show, I didn't think it was that much better than previous years. Still, a great night!

Sony A7S, Rokinon/Bowers 14mm f/2.8 @ f/2.8, ISO12,800, 20s for each frame.
Collected 745 images over a period of about 4.5 hours. Of those, over 80 had some amount of meteor captured. Only 29 of those made the cut for the final image
Replaced original image on 9/1/2016 with same image with cleaner foreground.
Four Eco units, all assigned to the Pittsburgh Region are running westbound under NS symbol C46. The train had just dropped a handful of cars in an interchange siding and are making their way back to Island Avenue in Pittsburgh where they will await their Monday morning assignment. This photo was taken Saturday October 1, 2016.

I was struck by the repetition of left-leaning elements in the photo: the candle flames, the head position, and even the sweep of the hair and where the eyes are focused--all pointing from the left to the right, against the black and white vertical stripes in the background.
