this was taken at some of my favorite trails in MT. he obliged me here, the flappy ears were a big bonus.
Day Thirty-one, it's a Portrait Day. This one was taken in my in-laws' new kitchen. They just renewed and moved in the flat where Claudia and I lived for two years when we came back from the Netherlands.

This was my first "real" camera. I bought it from my uncle when I was a kid in 197? and started taking pictures of whatever I was interested in at the time. I thought I would pull this 40+ year old classic and take an updated photo of it.
Strobist: Camera is on on a piece of acrylic with black foamcore undernearth. One SB-600 camera left shot through a home-made soft box at 1/64, white v-card piece of paper right of subject for fill. One SB-600 behind subject and below table with blue gel (a blue translucent gift bag) at 1/16. Background is a piece of white foamcore.

I know that some are the prices are expensive but that is just the reality of my country. Unfortunately we can't all enjoy the prices America has.
Figured that since I'm taking up the 365 challenge I'd take my first one to represent myself at present! I'm a big mess. The inside of my mind resembles my bedroom - cluttered! I'm constantly searching for answers, whilst being all too aware that they're useless anyway. So here's to my journey of 365 days, see if I find some way out :)

This is the first image for my Narrative project at Uni. I'm going to be sharing one with you each day. It is a rather figurative story of a person finding their identity/self-confidence through what they wear.
Is it just me or am I at last improving? I feel like 6th Form really slowed down my learning curve to about 1mph,and since the summer hols and Uni I feel like I'm becoming more aware of myself and my work. Summer gave me alot of time to think!
It's my birthday tomorrow,hopefully I can fit in a selfie at some point. Or the day after tomorrow. Depends :P
