I know a year ago today I shocked a lot of people here on Flickr with a somewhat different picture of my hand !! I thought it was time for an update as quite a few people are still kind enough to ask how things are going.
As you can see, the outside has healed pretty much without a scar, the inside on the other hand is a different matter. I can work and take pictures, although I still have no feeling to speak of in my index finger or my thumb. So finding buttons on the camera without looking doesn't happen. In fact any fine movement is hard, doing up small buttons, zips, holding a teaspoon, all things like that.
If I sit for any length of time without flexing my finger and thumb, and especially overnight, the two tendons I cut still seize up and
I have to work on them to free them up again. I have lost quite a bit of finger and thumb movement, the finger because of cutting through 30% of the knuckle joint, and I think that is how it will stay. The lack of movement in the thumb has something to do with the plate they put in to support it to allow me to do the physio while 70% of the bone I cut away grew back. I have to go back to see the consultant in August to see if removing the plate is an option.
The muscles I cut through between my finger and thumb, are very slowly mending and getting stronger, but I think this could take years, or will maybe never be quite the same, again this doesn't help the finer movements.
Ok, so after saying all this, I must say that having a working hand even if it's not brilliant, is better than I thought it was going to be from the first time I looked into it !!!
The physio and consultant still say I have another 6 months to a year before I know what the final outcome will be, so until then I'm sticking to the physio and keeping my fingers crossed......... and after cutting through those muscles, that is quite easy, as the finger tries to cross under my second finger from a lack of muscle attached to the thumb LOL

Taken at my home on 9/5/24. Tri-color mums given to my grandma for grandparent's day. I took this photo with the Backyard prompt in mind, my grandma is really into gardening and plants the mums we give her every year in her garden so I'm excited to see how these turn out.

It lies at 1,200 m above sea-level and the names means "The place of great happiness or bliss". It is built between two rivers, the Pho Chhu (Father) and the Mo Chhu (Mother) in the Punakha-Wangolve Valley. Due to the good climate Punakha is also the winter capital of Bhutan.

Here the first picture of a make-up test from a friend of me .
It's was the first time for me to shoot on a black drop, and also one of my strobe still out so it was kind a funny to find a good way to make this pictures.
More pictures are comming soon, but this make-up gave us an idea so an other shoot will be plan soon! Stay tunned!!

Voici la première photo d'un test make-up réalisée par une amie.
Ce fut la première fois que je shootais sur fond noir(studio), de plus, l'un de mes flashes n'étant plus fonctionnel j'ai dut trouvé une autre façon de faire ce portrait .

D'autres photos sont à venir mais ce petit test nous a donner une autre idée de shoot plus élaboré.

RSC Collectibles was a die-cast company that only made 6 vehicles (as far as I know) before going out of business. The short lived endeavor produced some super fine 1:24 metal die-cast Pro Stock drag racing replicas that were very nicely crafted. I had all six, which included 4 Camaros including "Grumpy's Toy", a couple of Plymouths, Sox & Martin Plymouth Duster, and the Mopar Missile. For some crazy reason, I decided to sell them and did so sucessfully, that is, until I had only one left, this one, Wally Booth's "Rat Pack 1" '68 Camaro. NOT FOR SALE! L.O.L., at least for now.
Experiment`s in paint wasting!, Did`nt have much time on Saturday, think it took longer too paint the wall black!
Nice to see old friend`s, freehand & boast for the 1st time in about 20 years or so...
and great to see Spy, Jaf, Elite, Crane and Reakt putting some quality work up!!!
