The Cypress Trees of Lake Moultrie will always be a favorite subject of mine. They make for such interesting subjects.
Ondu 135 Panoramic // 0.2mm pinhole // Ilford PAN F+ 50
Home developed in Kodak HC-110 1+47 // 6:28/18
Photographed at Greenham Common in Berkshire. This was cropped to the 1:1 ratio as I wasn't too pleased with my original effort (just a personal thing). Despite my subject being 'dead centre' of the composite, I think the image works quite well...Hope you agree?

Gallipoli … si divide in due parti.
Il Borgo Nuovo - la parte più moderna ... (penisola)
Il Centro Storico - chiamata anche “Città Vecchia” ... (isola)
_____

I have had contacts who say that they have so many Kingfisher images they don't bother any more. I never tire of them , my heart skips a beat every time . Bird on a stick but what a bird , and I like the stick .

The beach of Fauskasandur in East Iceland.
The beach is right beside the Ring Road so gets loads of visitors. I was lucky to get some untrodden foreground right at the western end.
Not able to find a name for the sea-stack but this is Iceland, it will have one! Having said that, it looks like the stack 'Arnardrangur' down near Dyrhólaey emerging from the sea... maybe it was following me?

Highway 1 AKA the Talimena Scenic Drive in far southeastern Oklahoma.
Last night was perfect for shooting the Milky Way with almost no moon and southern LeFlore county is very sparsely populated making for a good location. I was in the middle of this road for 1 hour and 1 car went by.

Taking a swing past the Commercial, I saw CTM 1 out from being buried among the roundhouse area and grabbed a photo of this odd duck that used to work at the end of the line in Hugo. This unit formerly worked for Canadian Pacific.

As is becoming traditional, the first sunrise of the New Year! Taken from the top of a perishing East Lomond in Fife. The lights are those of Leven, Methil and Buckhaven.
Happy New Year!

VIDA: AMOR Y MUERTE
Como un puente tendido,
el Infinito entre tus ojos y los míos,
las palabras sólo fueron un pretexto frívolo,
el tiempo olvidó dar sus campanadas;
mientras, la noche -virgen prudente-,
encendidas todas sus lámparas,
velaba...

The lovely ruin at Sabacche 1 surrounded by chaca trees.
At the end of November, I took my third trip to Mexico since 2014 to photograph Mayan ruins. I visited a number of ruins not open to the public, overgrown and hidden in the jungle, in order to continue working on my series of infrared images of Mayan Ruins. Many people think that the large ruins (Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Labna, Sayil, etc.) comprise the totality of Mayan civilization in the Yucatan, but there are literally hundreds of smaller or satellite cities spread throughout Yucatan and Campeche. I am so drawn to these beautiful, sometimes remote, ruins, partially overgrown, but still standing after more than a thousand years.
If you'd like to read about this trip, I have a blog post about it that you might enjoy.
