Somewhere in my mind, I'm a kid again......
It's like watching a recording of my childhood in my mind. There I am on the swings, trying to act intrepid when in actual fact I'm scared out of my skin as the swing goes higher and higher. A whole bunch of us running around in the playground, laughing, climbing the nearby trees without a seconds thought about falling or hurting ourselves. I sometimes wonder about those other kids, where they are now, who they've become. Perhaps some of them even live a few streets away from me unbeknown to either of us, or maybe we've even walked past each other on the street, faces now unrecognised after many, many years.
I wonder if they sometimes think back to their childhood, to that park that used to be our playground.
