The Rundetårn (English: Round Tower) is a 17th-century tower located in central Copenhagen, Denmark. One of the many architectural projects of Christian IV, it was built as an astronomical observatory. It is most noted for its 7.5-turn helical corridor leading to the top, and for the expansive views it affords over Copenhagen.
The tower is part of the Trinitatis Complex which also provided the scholars of the time with a university chapel, the Trinitatis Church, and an academic library which was the first prupose-built facilities of the Copenhagen University Library which had been founded in 1482.
Today the Round Tower serves as an observation tower for expansive views of Copenhagen, a public astronomical observatory and a historical monument. In the same time the Library Hall, located above the church and only accessible along the tower's ramp, is an active cultural venue with both exhibitions and a busy concert schedule.

There is no greater feeling when you're coming home! Funny how you always need an extra bag or two then when you left though :P Vacation was wonderful and a lot of fun! I'm refreshed and excited to be back :)
Bei's failed attempts at getting Mei's treats resulted in him being content just snuggling up to her
Often, the people I photograph travelling on the Underground appear to be sad but that's just how it looks in a captured moment and is transient. This woman was deeply upset. My heart went out to her.

One of the most gregarous chaacters you're likely to meet anywhere along 18th Street, he can oftenbe found at his regular spot, halfway between Loomis and Laflin.
Ferring Beach
Left home a bit late but arrived in time before the sunrise. Set up on the beach, pretty cold, forgot gloves, forgot filter!!! Dashed back to the car to get filter (it's been so long since I've done this - and I'm getting older) leaving tripod and camera on the sand hoping it wouldn't topple over (it has before). Luckily no dog walkers in the pre-dawn! Unfortunately no clouds today so this is my best attempt. Maybe a sunset would suit an old git better!
