New York City skyline (& Hudson River) just after sunset, as seen from New Jersey. A little bit of the best of both worlds, with the red/orange afterglow from the sunset at the same time as the light show that is the NYC skyline at night.
The scene from Marcy Dam on a beautiful late winter morning, looking toward the central High Peaks region. Adirondacks, NY.
Brilliant fall color reflected off the water's surface at Split Rock Reservoir. This hidden gem brings a North Country feel to New Jersey.
Would you believe New York State contains such rugged mountain scenery? Dramatic view from the summit of Mt Colvin, looking northwest to the Great Range in the Adirondacks, including Mts Haystack, Marcy, Basin, Saddleback, Gothics, and Armstrong.
A beautiful spring day on the lake in Harriman State Park, NY. The rock outcroppings and pine trees make this spot feel as though it is a couple hundred miles further north.

Urban Wild Life
Elswout is a historical buitenplaats with lots of mushrooms dating from the 19th century in a park by the same name in Overveen, Netherlands.
The park surrounding the main house contains various follies that are protected in the heritage register, as are the gatekeeper's entrance, the orangerie, and the stables.
After the storm, a rainbow and clearing skies. This is the view from my balcony, looking north towards the George Washington Bridge (partially visible in the distance on the right). A few minutes prior to taking this shot, there was actually a double rainbow, though I didn't have my camera at the ready in time.
