In connection with the Newton Abbot 150 celebrations, "The Newton Antelope" hauled by Tyseley's pannier tank 9600 operated a series of shuttles between Paignton and Heathfield, the furthest reachable point of the former Moretonhampstead branch. Here 9600 has arrived at Newton Abbot on the 13th May 2000 and will shortly depart for Heathfield.
47854 "Women`s Royal Voluntary Service" departs from Stafford at 19.11 on the 8th May 2000, with 1M50 14.18 Brighton to Preston. New from Crewe Works as D1972 on November 6th 1965, the locomotive is now (April 2020) owned by West Coast Railway Company and is based at Carnforth.
