ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 27, 2014) – Rear Adm. Andrew Lewis, commander, Carrier Strike Group 12, speaks to Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Sacra’s family on the Flag Bridge during a Family and Friend’s Day cruise aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt’s crew invited family and friends aboard for a day underway filled with events and activities ranging from games hosted by Morale, Welfare and Recreation to tours of the ship and demonstrations. 6. I hate it when you put your fingers between my paws. My paws are mine and they are very sensitive.
7. My favorite food are mussels. I will eat them raw or cooked, or boiled or baked, I don’t mind.
8. I’m afraid of spiders. Seeing a spider will freak me out on many levels. Please kill them before I see them.
9. My idea of relaxing is staying at home and watch all the episodes of ‘Lost’. I love that show!!! It’s so exciting. I can’t wait to see the new series.
10. My favorite perfume is Lolita Lempicka. Please spray some behind my ears every morning.

SINFONIA DI GUSTI E SAPORI: OMAGGIO A VERDI 2013
Gli allievi hanno scelto il tema musicale per un omaggio al grande compositore nel bicentenario della nascita
Sono oltre centodieci gli allievi del Centro di Formazione di Bologna FOMAL che, giunti al termine del loro percorso biennale di formazione, hanno preparato per autorità del territorio e del settore, il tradizionale saggio di fine anno. A fianco della Presidente dell’Opera, Suor Marina Bovina e al Vicepresidente, Suor Anna Simoni, il Presidente della Provincia di Bologna, Beatrice Draghetti, sempre molto attenta e partecipe al percorso formativo dei giovani. Tra i presenti l’Assessore provinciale alla Formazione Professionale Giuseppe DE Biasi, il Consigliere nazionale di AIBES, l’associazione dei Baristi, con la quale il FOMAL collabora per la gestione di grandi eventi, quali ad esempio gli ospitality della Fiera di Rimini. Il Tesoriere ed il Cancelliere di AMIRA, L’Associazione nazionale dei Maitre, hanno colto l’occasione per premiare ancora una volta il Centro di Formazione e due allieve del Centro che nell’ultima selezione nazionale si sono classificate al terzo posto nel Concorso Maitre junior dell’anno, uniche allieve della Formazione Professionale, tra gli allievi degli Istituti alberghieri di tutta Italia.
Tornando al saggio, i ragazzi hanno espresso le loro abilità nel preparare i cocktail e gli stuzzichini sul ricco buffet degli aperitivi, allestito tra strumenti musicali dell’epoca e libretti di opere famose di Giuseppe Verdi. Le portate sono state presentate da alcuni allievi, evidenziando i riferimenti al Cigno di Busseto e a ciò che gradiva mangiare, come il famoso risotto alla Verdi e la zuppa inglese, che gli ospiti hanno definito strepitosa. Tutte le portate sono state accompagnate da vini della terra del compositore, quali “le terre Verdiane” e l’”Otello”, che gli allievi hanno presentato in tutte le loro caratteristiche. Ogni portata è stata anche accompagnata da una famosa opera del celebre compositore, dal Libiam Libiamo, il celebre brindisi della TRAVIATA, alla Marcia trionfale dell’AIDA, passando attraverso il Nabucco ed il Rigoletto.
