Der Bahnhof Langelsheim wird von Montag bis Freitag von Braunschweig Rbf aus von DB Cargo bedient. In Langelsheim sorgt die Firma Chemetall GmbH und gelegentlich die Ladestraße (Holz) für Güteraufkommen.
Am Morgen des 21.04.16 hatte es im Harzvorland gefroren und die Felder waren mit Raureif überzogen, als 261 032 mit dem EK 53901 nach Langelsheim ihr Ziel fast erreicht hatte.
1016 032 war mit einem Kesselwagenzug am 15. Oktober 2025 bei Axdorf im Chiemgau in Richtung München unterwegs.

Debutto nella linea del Brennero per l'Impresa Rail Cargo Italia (ex Linea Smart Business Ways) con un convoglio di rottami ferrosi proveniente da Hall in Tirol (Austria) e diretto a Verona Porta Vescovo. Il convoglio inizialmente in carico a Trenitalia Cargo venne poi preso in carico da RCI che in attesa di prendere certificazione nel territorio Italiano lo trazionava fino a Brennero per poi continuare verso la pianura in carico a NordCargo. A certificazione avvenuta il viaggio può essere fatto senza cambi di locomotive da parte della stessa Impresa.
