A sculpture seen at the museum in Albany, Texas. I didn't read the description but it looks like a scythe with a heart at the end of it. I don't understand this kind of artwork, but it makes a beautiful image.

Another image from a Kodak Retinette, this one a type 030 from the late fifties. Loaded with a roll of Ilford HP5, it produced some nice results and second time around shooting on this camera, I was really getting to enjoy it. Everything takes time and involves some guess work, but these little cameras always impress me and I am really quite smitten with them.
Macro Monday: "Side lighting"
Hard light from a gridded Speedlite 90 degrees camera left showing up the dust and small fibres on my 15mm fisheye.

It was another gray, cruddy day here so I had to find something around the house to serve as my subject for the day. For our anniversary, my husband got me a subscription to a succulent of the month club. They send 2 little succulent plants a month. This little guy was from the last pairing. I'm a big fan of succulents & sedums. I like any plant that is easy to keep alive... But it is how easily they can be grown and spread from clippings of a plant that fascinates me. Pluck any part off a plant and put it in the ground and it can turn into an entirely new plant. One plant becomes many. You can walk thru a store and pull a tiny leaf off a plant, take it home a voila, you have your own plant (is that wrong to do? maybe? the plant I picked it off of isn't going to miss it, so I think no...).
