Tussen 17 juli en 16 augustus wordt er in 2021 spoor vernieuwd op het Muzenviaduct en door deze werkzaamheden kan er ook geklust worden bij het Beatrixkwartier en in Tramtunnel Grote Marktstraat.
Omdat de aorta van het tramnet er uit ligt worden lijnen 2, 3, 4 en 6 geknipt. Aan de zuidkant rijden de trams onder de lijnen 2a, 3a, 4a en 6a hun eigen route tot aan de Brouwersgracht en gaan dan bovenlangs een rondje centrum doen om bij het CS te komen. Lijnen 3a en 4a krijgen ook Avenio als materieel. Voor lijn 4 is dat voor het eerst.
Aan de andere kant van CS rijden lijnen 2b en 6b met GTL en gaan bij Laan van NOI over in elkaar. RandstadRail lijnen 3b en 4b rijden vanaf Zoetermeer tot Laan van NOI.
Tussen Laan van NOI en CS rijdt een buslijn 62 om de reizigers te vervoeren. Om toch nog wat Citadis materieel te laten rijden wordt lijn 9 voorzien van de RandstadRail trams.
Bij de halte Monseigneur van Steelaan komen we de 3133 tegen.
