Rund um Mühldorf gibt es dank der großen Chemiewerke, insbesondere Wacker in Burghausen, verhältnismäßig viel Güterverkehr. Die meisten Wagen werden in Ganzzügen transportiert. Doch zwischen Mühldorf und München Nord gibt es auch ein paar Einzelwagenzüge, dazu gehört der abendliche 51812, der nach Ankunft der zahlreichen Berufsverkehrsverstärker aus München sich von Mühldorf auf den Weg in die Landeshauptstadt macht. Am 30.07.2024 fotografierte ich ihn kurz nach Dorfen mit 077 008 an der Spitze.

Die Railpool 187er sind mittlerweile nicht mehr wegzudenken, auch wenn nur ein paar wenige davon in der Schweiz unter dem EVU bls anzutreffen sind. Bevor die Loks in der Schweiz uneingeschränkt zugelassen waren, fuhren die Loks mehrere Wochenlang am Stahlzug von Emmenbrücke nach Chiasso (Zug ging bis Lecco Italien). Speziell an diesem Zug war auch, dass dieser den direkten Weg über Luzern nahm, kopf machte und anschliessend dem Rotsee entlang nach Erstfeld fuhr. Dafür war jeweils an beiden Enden des Zuges eine 187er. Ab Erstfeld wurde die Lok am Zugschluss jeweils an die Spitze gestellt. Am 16.09.2014 wartete ich auf den Zug in Honau, welcher durch die 187 008 an der Zugspitze und der 004 am Zugschluss bespannt wurde.
