ਚੁੰਨੀ ਤਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ-ਭੈਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਸੱਭਿਅਤਾ ਵੱਲ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਉਤੇਜਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਪਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਵੱਲ, ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੈ। ਸਲੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਤੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨਣਾ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਅੰਗ ਹੈ। ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਜ਼ਮਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਮੀ ਕੁੜਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਘੱਗਰੇ ਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਦੁਪੱਟਾ ਜਾਂ ਫੁਲਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਗੋਟੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੁਪੱਟਾ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਲਹਿ ਕੇ ਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਉਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਆਹੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸੱਸ-ਸਹੁਰੇ ਤੇ ਜੇਠ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਦੀਆਂ ਘੁੰਡ ਕੱਢਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੰਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਲਾਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ। ਇਕ ਬੋਲੀ-

ਮਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਧੀਆਂ-ਪੁੱਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਹ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਧੀਆਂ-ਪੁੱਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਦੁਨੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਧੜਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ। ਮਾਵਾਂ ਹਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।

ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹਰ ਪਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭਦੀ ਹੈ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਕਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਕਦਮ ਥਿੜਕਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ,
